Glad you are enjoying your 901, and thank you for bring us the color of autumn. What ever happen to your channel I will keep my "Awesome Players" memories forever...!
Hi Bill. It’s one of those obstacles where sometimes going up is a cakewalk and other times it can be an adventure but yeah, it’s been in three or four videos I think.
Great video. Love the Fall colors on that ride. Luckily there was no stinky mud at the bottom of that Hill this time. Mark's a good rider and a good friend. Thanks for taking us along on another awesome adventure
@AwesomePlayers I say norden off-roading it bike like give beans. It looks hard not seeing much lighting as well. Rocks poke out that can get u. U did Well 👍
Nice way to finish up the season. That hill looked BAAAD! Tough to get big bikes through there. The breathing shows just how athletic that type of riding is. You were in the aerobic zone the whole time on the trail.
Nothing like taking big bikes through challenging stuff. You have a great riding buddy and so does he. Nice to have somebody remove the pepples from your path hahaha
You are brilliant! Looks like you live in a beautiful part of the world too. It must take a lot of effort to haul these massive trail bikes around. I did it with a little 400 and I used to feel that 😆
@@vod8008 we were just talking about the fact that we watch videos from people all over the world and think how amazing their riding areas are yet where we live is pretty damn nice. We just don’t see it sometimes.
Lovely ride ! awesome bikes. However watching those fat bikes tiptoe through terrain I would blast through on my KLX400 makes me wonder what to purchase. The highway ride is where the comfort comes in. Excellent video !
In a perfect world we would all have 5 bikes! It really was a great big bike ride as we did hundreds of kms of road, some trail and just a little nasty.
Hey Riley. Great to see another video. I’ve moved from Montreal to Phoenix recently and I’m considering selling my 701 and getting the 901. If you were forced to go back down to one bike, which would you pick? On another note, anytime the Players want to make a trip to AZ, I’d be happy to show you some great routes.
As always, I guess it really depends on what the majority of your writing is going to be. When we do a ride that has a lot of highway and high-speed gravel in a little bit of trail. The 901 is perfect. If you’re gonna spend more time in the woods or on the hard stuff then it’s the 701 for sure. Thanks for the invite!
Love the videos ,been watching for many years,as for the clutch I put a magura hydraulic clutch on my 890 ,best mod so far and no adjustment unlike the cable
@AwesomePlayers the cable on these bikes are light, but when the clutch gets hot the free play disappears and you end up with a slipping clucth,so the hydraulic conversion gets rid of any of that fear no matter how hard you ride the clutch and yes it's a lighter pull, infact I've added the camel one finger mod,now it's the lightest clutch I've ever had
Riley, you spoke about fellow riders that don’t ride no more and how you found other riders to ride with which is what we riders do. My question is that the reason why this channel is not putting out a lot of content? This channel is one of my first channels I followed since watching RUclips probably 9 years ago? Did you ever consider doing other ride content? You got a great travel all motorcycle with that 901. I live in the Chicago area and us rust belt riders circumnavigate the Great Lakes for our ride trips. That 901 would be great for that content. I currently own 3 BMW GSA’s 2005 1150, 2012 1200 and a 2024 1250 GSA and a Triumph Scrambler XE. I find so many gravel trails and logging roads doing those trips if you’re willing to get off the beaten path. Keep the content coming your viewers enjoy it. I just wish I had the talent to do the RUclips thing but then again I don’t want my wife to know what I do with my motorcycles. LOL
Sadly the reason there hasn't been a lot of content has been yours truly just being a tad lazy. I've been shooting a lot for the last few years and have tons of great footage. It is just been hard to sit down and actually do the editing. I was also editing for work and to be honest, I think I was just a bit sick of video. I enjoyed making the last few videos so I'm hopeful my slump is over. I agree the 901 is a great travel bike and my plan is to do some distance in the next few years.
Thank you for posting, so nice to see a video of you guys riding in the woods again. Would be interesting to hear Marcs opinions on the T7 vs Africa Twin etc.
@@AwesomePlayers my fears exactly. Used to ride the vig GS. Still love that bike but want something not as technically mind-boggling (eg something i can work on myself). As i ride mostly on tarmac, occasionally on gravel the T7 is probably not right for me
@@stefanemanuelsson2201 I think it's weaknesses would be that it isn't great for a passenger and if you want a lot of power it isn't there. It has enough but not intoxicating power. As far as a modern bike goes, it is pretty simple and is always touted as being crazy reliable.
It is interesting looking at other countries' riding conditions compared to mine. In my area of southeast Queensland, the winter average minimum temperature is usually down at a chilly 11C. You certainly have it tough over there.
It is a bit chilly sometimes here, but I enjoy the cooler riding. No bugs and, even better, no people! The winter shutdown also makes us get all horny for the new season.
@AwesomePlayers I keep forgetting about the snow over there. We ride all year so it is very different situation. Great video explaining your cold weather set up.
That was close, 1-2-3 times... and hunters bitch and say that our motorbikes scare the wildlife. Animals are not dumb when everything goes silent in the forest because normal day to day things go away for hunting season, the animals know that something is up and are much harder to spot. Wow, never seen the hill to Fort West that bad ever, and it's not easy even when in "good" condition.
It's been nice to "hang out" with the Gang of Awesome Players again!
