Maybe refocus efforts onto the average person who wants to see the action and get decent food at a decent price, not having the flashiest and shiniest new stadium only to tear it down in 30 years and repeat.
It reminds me of what a big mistake they found out they made my ripping down Opryland for a mall. Investors and Gaylord are still beating themselves up over it
Why do y'all even need a new stadium the stadium that y'all got is only 25 years old and isn't your taxes going to go up so you can pay for it? Why don't they just renovate the stadium that y'all already got 🤦🏿
The biggest issue I have with the new Titans stadium is going to be parking. The new stadium will be built over the current parking lot. The current stadium will be demolished and will have buildings and commercial development around the stadium. How will parking work? Will we have to pay to park in downtown Nashville and walk across the Cumberland River? That's what I want to know.
What's so wrong with a 24 year old stadium that they have to do this? Probably just a moneygrabber and reason to make tickets more expensive for traveling fans of opposing teams.
Hey, I didn't listen to the video, but I do wish the city of Nashville and the Titans well. Dome stadiums can be somewhat problematic, they're great venues to host events , and they are a source for community pride. However, you will find in most cities they sit idle for a large number of days during the year. Although most owners or operators of these domes won't admit it, the cost of maintaining these facilities can be exorbitant . I've been to a number of N.F.L stadiums and have found Titans stadium to be very nice .So, unless there is something unknown to the general public, hey ,in these inflationary times if it ain't broke why fix it? If this is another case of keeping up with the jones, well thats another issue. I know this, if indeed this is built , ticket prices are going through the roof. At some point the average fan is going to be priced out of going to games. Good luck Nashville.
It amazes me that stadiums built in the 90s are now considered "old and outdated". Maybe I'm just bitter that all the music I grew up with the late 80s and early 90s is called "classic" and "vintage" 🤣
We are just getting wasteful really. Nissan Stadium is essentially a similar design to several others that opened in the late 90's and early 2000's, but apparently it will be the first of those to go. I understood getting rid of the multipurpose cookie cutters even before they were totally worn out, they were undoubtedly inefficient for baseball and football trying to handle both. But this place probably could have made do with some upgrades. Now everyone has to have a palace like Jerry World or So-Fi. Even though people are going there for 3-4 hour football game not to live.
Whatever you do PLEASE do not build a dome stadium. The NFL is quicklly becomming the arena league and long gone is the uniqeness of each NFL game based on the city they were played in. Now its just games played on a sounstage. I expect that everyone gets excited when ther there is a snow or raing ame on TV. I certinally do. A compromise is what they did in Miami where the fans are protected the the game is still played in the elements.
If an alternative site had been chosen, the new stadium could have retained elements fans now embrace. First, parking. Parking will basically be eliminated it appears, opting to "bus" fans in from locations across the river. Naturally, tailgating will be eliminated, while promoting an organized tailgating area, operated by the stadium, and charging fans to enter. Last, with available space being minimal, I fear the stadium will be built more "upright", with seats angling up at a much steeper angle than the current stadium. I have sat in this type stadium and don't think fans will like it. Essentially, the stadium goes "up", instead of "out", having a smaller footprint and less capacity. Seating is eerily steep. But, we'll see I guess. It will be sad to see fans lose parking, tailgating and viewing comfort, all to force the stadium in a too-small parking lot, when simply relocating a short distance would provide room for a nice, open area, that keeps the good and eliminates the need to give up so much.
i have to say that while some look nice (not a fan of the Vegas stadium) .... i am not a fan of all these teams getting "super stadiums" ... after awhile they all look the same and they lose the character of the older team's stadiums
They don’t all look the same. What are you talking about? SoFi, Allegiant Stadium, AT&T stadium, Mercedes Benz stadium, Lucas Oil stadium, I could keep going on, but how do any of those look alike?

@@darryljorden9177 it's related to Nashville having a replica of the Parthenon (ancient Greek building) over by Centennial Park. A bit off key for what Nashville or TN is known for, but it does tie into the local culture more than it seems at first glance
Before the country music/recording industry and even before the replica of the Parthenon, Nashville's nickname was the "Athens of the South". It's from all the colleges and universities in town, and because Nashville was one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the South going back 100 or a 150 years. It''s harder to see it now since there are so many modern structures, but even the architecture of city had a lot Greek Revival buildings. If they reduce parking, they should be thinking about a public transportation option. Probably light rail. Something Nashville needs anyway. And do it now rather than play catch up later. Learn from Atlanta's failure to expand MARTA.
In order to win a Super Bowl bid, wouldn't the stadium capacity need to be larger than 60,000?
Over 75,000
State Farm Stadium in Arizona sits around 63,000. Hard Rock Rock in Miami seats 65,000. I don't know how the NFL thinks but capacity certainly doesn't tell the whole story.
Where does the metro sports authority get its funding from? it seems like it's a good chunk of the money going to the stadium.... is it from the public, that one didn't make sense to me
Yes they raise taxes to have taxpayers pay for a new stadium or renovate.
This was done well. Nashville is on to something great

Great video, but this is a colossal waste of money and other resources. This cannot be long term sustainable. The current stadium isn’t going to make it to its 30th birthday. I’m not an NFL fan, but if I went to a game I’d be focused on the action on the field and food options. Maybe refocus efforts onto the average person who wants to see the action and get decent food at a decent price, not having the flashiest and shiniest new stadium only to tear it down in 30 years and repeat.
It reminds me of what a big mistake they found out they made my ripping down Opryland for a mall. Investors and Gaylord are still beating themselves up over it
No money in that. You are nothing but a consumer to them. Remember that.

Where are the fans going to park and tailgate. It’s going to be a nightmare to find parking. It’s already a nightmare to find parking today.
Kinda forcing the ppl to pay for things around the stadium for their tailgating experience. Kinda sucks.
Great video
I think they have a great stadium, good open air feel, I hate how taxpayers alway get the bill.
This makes my day... Salute! I'm so glad we are doing this... Thanks Titans Town! Thanks Everyone! Peace ☮️✌️ ....
Genius business model.
Need a QB first. Oh and a receiver since they traded one of the best in the NFL.
That's a different - but cool concept! That would almost be too good for Nashville! No offense. Do you see what Dallas started?
The only stadium in America that is across the street from a truck stop
It’s soon to be gone !
The owners should pay for a new arena/ stadium, not the taxpayers
With the way Nashville is exploding in growth we need a new stadium to attract bigger and bigger events. Now if we could actually have a good season.
So the last three years with mike weren't good seasons.
Will it have a roof?
Yes
The "aging" Nissan stadium. Still looks badass to me....jussayin.
Welcome🙌🏈
It’s amazing how humans can blow so much money on a building that will stay empty 80% of the time.
By the way, it is a beautiful concept for a stadium
2 billi for a stadium is crazy. Inflation man.
i have to say that while some look nice (not a fan of the Vegas stadium) .... i am not a fan of all these teams getting "super stadiums" ... after awhile they all look the same and they lose the character of the older team's stadiums
Man u are crazy
They don’t all look the same. What are you talking about? SoFi, Allegiant Stadium, AT&T stadium, Mercedes Benz stadium, Lucas Oil stadium, I could keep going on, but how do any of those look alike?

So I guess Vanderbilt would get Nissan stadium I'll be a big upgrade for them
I don’t know why but the archetypal build and the lettering for Tennessee it all reminds me of a huge Starbucks 😂
That's an interesting observation considering Nashville is often called the Athens of the South because of it's full scale replica of the Parthenon and Greek influence on most of its state buildings.
@@LaBreeceTV ahhh we’re on to something dude lmao

What's wrong with the stadium they have now? It's not even 25 years old yet??

I do not understand this trend of major league sports needing a new playing venue every 20 years. Environmentally, it is irresponsible. Economically, it is reckless, especially to taxpayers.
With the new fake grass we have now a covered stadium is a good idea when you plan on using it for other events
2.1 billion? For everyone that lives in Tennessee there children’s children are going to be paying that loan back
Nashville just wanna host a Super Bowl. That's all.
I don't like the exterior. It looks more like a resort complex than a sports stadium. The interior and the roof is clearly copying Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
What I don't get the team hasn't been around that long in Tennessee a new stadium when they moved teams have been around way longer and have not had a new stadium if ever I guess I'm just looking at necessities in life all this money for stadiums and what not but people struggle to pay for food and housing even the fans there that doesn't bother you? I'm sure some it may but this says a lot about humanity this is not a priority to raise your taxes for a stadium

I can see why they made a new stadium. What the hell they were only been there for how long
This teams logo is outdated, and their uniforms are abhorrent. They need to rebrand as soon the stadium opens.
I always wondered why they went with the name “Titans”. Granted, they did need to re-brand from the “Oilers” to avoid a Utah Jazz like anomaly, but why use a nickname that was abandoned by another football team (New York Titans)?
So the name Titans makes a lot of sense even if many outsiders think of Nashville as a tourist place with honkey tonks and country acts.
Yeah, go ahead and believe the team. These stadiums last a freakin' long time. The thing getting aged is the owners blackmailing the citizenry for a brand new cash cow.
No Super Bowl titles, homeless vets in the streets, pot holes everywhere and The Titans want a new stadium?!? I don’t think so! Renovate the current stadium! Lambeau field and Soldier Field have done so just fine over the decades!
When your talking Oilers your talking Super Bowl
