sometimes for me a wide tooth comb doesn’t get all the shed hair out or detangle well enough
When that happens to me I just go in with my shampoo brush afterwards it’s less breakage than this brush😭

Lisa Olabanji the shampoo brush is the best, not to be confused with the scalp massager(that has sharp ends) . Watch a video to see its magic, and for my 4c hair it always keeps it detangles and breakage free.

I have 3c/4a hair and the Curl Enhancing Smoothie did NOTHING for my hair, i haven't used it in years but the Maui Moisture one worked way better and cheaper!

The curl enhancing does wonders for me😶
3c/4a here as well and the curl enhancing smoothie made my hair stiff and dry . I've also tried a few Shea Moisture conditioners, and they just don't do much for my hair. I do like the Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Shampoo, though. I'm starting to think my hair just doesn't like coconut oil...
I don't really use the Coconut and hibiscus line simply because my hair feels gross when I apply the product. 🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️If anything, I stick to cheap Cantu and the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil line.👌
I want to try the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Line it seems good and since coconut products usually aren’t that good for me I don’t want to try the rest of the coconut & hibiscus line 🥶💖
@@NikkiBruner Same here, coconut anything doesn't work on my hair. I'll either have immense shedding or my hair will dry up. Jamaican Castor Oil hasn't failed me though💯💪
Hey girl! I would suggest using an actual leave-in conditioner and then using the smoothie, since it's not meant to be a detangler. I think you might notice a huge difference!

So, what have we learned from this review? I want my money back. I can pass it through my hair, but it definitely rips out my hair. Even though the brush works when I use it vertically, I'm happy with my dollar shampoo brush. Great video!!✨💛✨💛

Rayna Atarah i have fine 4a hair and it works perfectly fine for me🤷🏽♀️.... i think where nikki went wrong was starting brushing horizontally while starting vertically to detangle your ends and then start brushing horizontally to detangle the length of your hair, using this method i can even detangle my hair with no product in small sections if i want to achieve a poofy look.
@@tsuyuasui7297 I think the point is having to have a certain technique to get the brush through your hair isnt worth it. When there are cheaper brushes that you can detangle your hair which ever way with it and still get it detangled faster with less breakage.
Omg I just used mine today and I have 4c hair. It works greatly I was able to set angle my hair in 20 mins. Before I got this brush detangling was an hour or more. Ever since this break I have had my hair in an old ponytail for about 3 weeks just being lazy and I dreaded the day I was going to detangle it. I forgot how easy it was to detangle with the brush. And when I say my hair was tangled I mean TANGLED. So take this into consideration coming from someone with SUPER THICK 4c hair.
One look at the brush, its a knockoff bought from amazon. The real EZ Detangler Brush comes with thicker Rubber Handle and has sturdier panels. It also comes with instructions on how to properly use it. There is literally 20 listing in amazon competing with each other in prices sending out brushes in plastic packs, trying to knock each other out. We don't have our shop set up in Amazon yet.
Looking for the cheapest isn't always the best option.

Gracie :D she didnt use it correctly tho...thats why it didn’t work you have to start brushing vertically for the ends, and then proceed to brush horizontally i have the same hair type and it works like magic for me

It's so weird how different products work for different people. I have hair similar to yours and I do twist outs with water, the "curl enhancing smoothie", and grape seed oil as a sealer... That's literally it and my hair comes out so shiny and moisturized.

Definitely love this review! but I have the same hair type 3c+4a and the brush works very well for MY hair, and I don’t use brushes in general but I 100% agree about the curl enhancing smoothie, this vid was very helpful 😇
I live by the tangle teaser for thick and curly hair (it’s red) I love it! I have hair very similar to yours and nothing detangles my hair as well as that brush. I also have a long tooth wide tooth comb and it’s bomb!
Where you get your tangle teezer from
The product is more helpful if you use it after detangling. The same thing that happened to you when combing with the product in happened to me. It makes your hair stiff and harder to brush so it’s more of a styling product.❤️

That’s why I don’t buy these ‘popular’ brushes like Felicia Leatherwood and EZ wet brush to name a few. Not downing black business, but sis... I say, buy what works for your hair. Btw, what are you using to grow your hair? ☺️
Yup! It’s never about downing any businesses it’s just that if a product doesn’t work it doesn’t work!🤷🏽♀️💖 & I haven’t been using rice water recently but you can see my two videos on my rice water for hair growth routine on my channel!😘💛

If you want, you can try using the curl and style milk with the curl enhancing smoothie. I haven’t tried it yet, but someone told me it really helps so I’m guessing it’s good and can help with the dryness. Idk, we’ll see. 🌼💫

Girlllllllllll, I thought it was just me. That brush took out too much hair for me. I was questioning whether it was all dead hair or just being ripped out. I saw videos of people putting pounds of product in for extra slip..... nah, still not working for me.
Yeah, my hair is still big when wet, so I can agree that it definitely wasn’t gliding through my hair smoothly.
I used the shea moisture coconut and hibiscus once and i have the same curly hair type as you and it doesn’t moisturize my hair. So I recommend the shea moisture jamaican black castor oil smoothie. It’s BOMB or the Camille rose curlaide moisture butter “green tea and jojoba”

Exactly I'm not understanding how people are tearing their hair out. The brush comes with instructions and its quite easy to use. Majority of the people dont have patience and are brushing aggressively.

I said this on Nana’s video too but Asiam products in general work good in my hair but (cowash, and detangle leave in) and the Shea moisture Jamaican castor oil line 👌🏾 my go too. But when I’m feeling bougie I like miss Jessie’s baby butter cream ( she’s expensive though)

you should try using a de-tangling conditioner to de-tangle your hair because curling custards/creams aren't really meant to de-tangle your hair
Your hair is pretty. I would never try detanlging with the curl enhancing smoothie as it's not a detangler and doesn't seem to have much slip or softness to it. Like you said it feels dry. It made my hair feel sticky gross, dry, and weighed down. I have 3c hair. I might give it another go some time because I hate waisting products esp shea moisture. But
I would recommend using a conditioner with a ton of slip to detangle & make sure the hair is throughly sprayed with water beforehand. I think the brush would have worked better if you did that.

you're supposed to use the brush vertically and then horizontally once the knots are out.

Well for starters you used the smoothie to detangle that product is thick and has no slip its only good for styling AFTER your hair is detangled.

i feel like we have the same hair type. this brush ONLY works well for me in the shower when i’m detangling my hair with a (deep)conditioner. For styling or detangling on damp/dry hair, it’s not good

I tried one time but I feel like I rush to much in the shower and by the time I rinse everything out my hair gets a bit tangled again as it’s drying. So I prefer to be in the mirror and make sure I’m parting well and getting every section twisting it and taking my time💖

I actually like the brush! my hair is very thick and coarse. I actually threw away my denman brush and i think its how you use it that makes a difference in using it. Like i use it to detangle with in the shower after my pre poo treatment. I start off using it vertically at my ends but on the length of my hair i go horizontal. Then I go vertical again at my root with and then go horizontal dragging the shed pieces out. And i dont have that much shed hair from it versus my denman. It definitely feels good when i use it on my washdays 🤤🤤 because i can feel my scalp and it doesnt take me long either to detangle just 10 minutes now. And my hair is mid length down my back . But I love your hair!!

I have 4B/4C hair and the Curl Enhancing Smoothie just makes it feel really dry, I really don't like the smell, and the texture is thick but it feels almost slimy to me

Ur literlay one of the few youtubers who match my hair type 💜 , (but in my experience the curl smoothie will dry ur hair out and make it tangled, it's made for people mostly in the 3 hair range 😭)

A bought a raved about brush detangler. Different from you one you have. It cost 20$+ and i notice over a few months my hair were thinning. I bought a 3$+ brush detangler at the drugstore. My hair stop thinning out and is detangled. Weird right? Wide tooth combs work fine on my hair too. 🤷
