His tone sound so so heavy and yet he’s able to reach these notes so damn effortlessly!
It's so nice to have that naturally raspy voice! Something I used to want but I'm getting older and with all my sinus problems over the years I'm losing it. But I quite enjoy others and this is great. I've heard him do the whiskey song and was bowled over. Keep up the great reactions and I like to hear you talk! Blessings!
Great reaction Jen! I've been listening to Cakra (pronounced Chakra) for several months and am really impressed by his voice, Though not especially well -known in the Western world, he has been an established singer in Indonesia for several years. His voice does not seem to be strained at all by his raspiness, so he must be doing something right. Most people who have listened to him are surprised by this version of Iris because of the hogh notes.
He has a ton of great covers and originals on his channel. Some of the ones I like are Anyone, Stone Cold and Skyscraper (all covers of Demi Lovato), Etta James I'd rather go blind and James Brown It's a mans world. I'm sure Cakra's fans will suggest many others.

She's right. For everybody else, you have to be careful with singing like this. Not cakra though. This is his natural voice. He's built different.
Natural voice singer so unpredictable like always. He is so awesome.
This guy has been singing like this since the very first time we see him on TV 15 or 20 years ago. His clearer tones just appeared recently when he started doing RUclips.

You need to see Cakra khan cover a song called "take me to church". My vocal cords feel inferior after that. 😂😂
I just love his riff and runs voices when he sings the second reff part.
This is the best cakra khan's cover me. When i said keep this cover for the last cos maybe you wont be surprise anymore about what he can do with his voice. But for my recomendation you should react anymore by demi lovato or forever more by gamaliel cover by cakra

when Cakra goes into the that husky gritty/rock tone it sounds like the gritty sounding voice of the lead singer of the group from the 80s the Gibson Brothers

once again, very detailed review, wow... ❤️👍👍🙏 love it, and that whistle part i think to minimize the emptyness before jump to the next lyrics, because it's an orchestra version and he just follow his soul to blent inside, and the "broken" at the end chorus is a "cry" tone

I like Cakra and his sound. To my ears I am hearing some Chris Stapleton influence in his voice. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ! We all like who we like. Spoiler alert, everyone of us is inspired by and influenced by others. That will always be a good thing. Nobody does anything meaningful in a vacuum !
