How to read articles?
The video was helpful. I just want to know about the word limit for our answers. For 20 markers and 10 markers.
It really depends on a number of factors including which LLB or Diploma you’re pursuing, if the question being tackled is a problem based one or an essay etc.

Thanks for the useful tips! I assume you studied independently and not with a 3rd party institute? Your spider graphs method similar to Tony Buzan's mind maps. What is you advice on approaching new subjects?
Hi Diana. I'm glad you found the tips useful. Actually, I studied with a local institute. However, I have a degree in Computing prior to my LLB. Thus, I was used to studying using spider graphs. I approach new subjects in 3 steps. First, grasp each topic as a whole by reading as many sources as possible. Second, summarizing each topic into 3-4 pages and Third, converting those pages into spider graphs. You would notice in my videos the slideshows for each topic is actually the Second step mentioned here. Hope this helps and all the best!
Omgosh, I wished I have watched this before even taking exam. So much you have said is true and some that I have did and yet I didn't get good results. Do you have example of those essays that you have written or checked already for Tort and Trust? Ithought I did well but I feel crushed right now. I hope you can help me as I'm attempting to take the resit exam this october. Maybe is the way I have written my answers which is not sufficient enough. Hi Waqas. It does depend on the question. As a Law student, your questions should show conviction of your view. In other words, that you are arguing on behalf of one side or another. Leaving it open ended refers to not making a definitive conclusion as to the outcome. Remember, the decision is upto a Court of Law and a Judge/Jury to decide. You are supposed to only point out the facts through a compelling argument. I hope that clarifies it Waqas.

In terms of Case Law and terms, the best way would be to read up on as many material as possible. For example, even the Nutshells series on various Law subjects is a great resource (try Amazon).

Do you think research for assignments counts as study time? If we have one assignment a week I've legitimately spent more than 30 hours a week working on it.
That's an interesting question. It does count towards study time if it enriches your understanding of the subject apart from being part of the work you put in to complete the assignment. Ideally, we should 'learn' something from the time we put in. Thus, any time that achieves that objective, in my opinion, counts towards study time.

Liked the video, but here is the honest, brutal truth about exams. You can´t ´ace´an exam in law or chemistry unless you are shown the exact answers by the teacher before everyone else takes the exam. It´s the same with medicine. You´re not going to ´ace´on an exam in medicine unless you are shown the right exam answers. This is how teachers have cheated on exams since the beginning. You don´t just go out and take an exam and rise and shine and graduate with an A because exams are designed to prevent that from happening. Here is how. The teacher recommends certain books you are going to have to read. If you read those, the teacher is going to make sure all the exam questions will be off topic. Because the teacher knows that as soon as you can answer the right exam question, then you will pass the exam. This is why people want to ban exams. They don´t want them because all they result in is nothing but a stress. If people really want to learn law, they should ban law exams. If they want to learn chemistry, they should ban chemistry exams. If they want to learn medicine, ban medicine exams. Because exams kill learning. Banning them results in an enriched learning experience. Claims that A grades can be reached without cheating in law, business, economics, English, medicine, etc. should be simply regarded as claims of the occult and the supernatural. Since those are extraordinary claims, they require extraordinary evidence. So why can´t we just ´ace´any exam them? Because science.
