New Update from Income Tax - Discard ITR

The income tax department has introduced a new functionality on its website that allows taxpayers to discard their unverified Income Tax Returns (ITR)
However, it is important to note that the new feature comes with certain conditions.
One needs to login to the income tax portal, go to the section called ‘e-file’ within which one needs to select ‘e-verify return’. Here, you find two options - e-verify and discard beside your ITR, which has been filed but not been verified yet.

Hi I have received mail and message from income tax department today that You have missed filing your Income-Tax return for AY2023-24. Kindly file your ITR on e-Filing portal at the earliest. Avoid last week Rush-ITD.But my income is only interest income So kindly tell I want to fill ITR or not needed. I have filled ITR for first time in the year in 2022 because I have received a insurance amount because my son is died due to covid
