  • We take a harder look at a few items on the Grom Reaper. This episode contains welding, machining, mechanic-ing, and general fabrication - it's a good one! We redesign the front brake on the leafer suspension, adjust the custom seat suspension, and attend to the rear brake. Now some things actually work!

Wow it's been a minute for me but the bike has came out awesome I really like the look and how it turned out it look amazing job well done I like the paint is it a candy paint ? In not sure if you have reflashed your ECU yet but if you haven't a company called dhm dose it if you need some one to still do it. Have a great one till the next one 👍👌✌️💯🍻🏍️⚒️🔧🤯

Thanks, man! I am glad you like the bike. I believe it was DHM I emailed (I'd have to check) but they suggested to reset the ECM and throttle position sensor first and then it should idle. We'll see.

@@HooptieDoodle yes that for stock ECU map with the modified pipe and intake that aren't stock don't run the greatest because it not stock usually you send the stock ECU and they flash it with a different map then stock so it runs with what you have then you pay for the map and they send it back to you with different. Map programs then stock . And you live in the best possible state to get that registration easy for the bike👍👌✌️💯⚒️🔧🥂🏍️ ps you can also keep one stock map ecu and buy a stock moded ECU from them as well if I remember right that if you want different set of maps for the bike but that's if you going back to stock parts.👍👌✌️💯⚒️

That's a dam awesome build, Just wondering how it feels for the weight on the steering end, in camber and caster you let go of the handlebars and will track straight, Yes dual brakes. By the way what type of lathe machine is that, it's very compact - limited garage space as well. Very cool to make your own little pieces :)
I thought of adding a thick stainless steel cable looped around on the fender with eyelets so it will pull a shock spring on the tree and behaves like a suppression bridge 🌉 since its extended way out there, I could use a bike chain as well, which might take some accumulating to get that to work. We always have smoke coming out our thinking stacks :)

It's a mill/lathe combo made by Shopmaster. Circa 2005 model Eldorado Bridgemill. It's been great for small bushings, brackets, wheel spacers, axle plates, steering stems. Only thing I've not been able to do is a steering neck as my chuck isn't big enough.

I've yet to ride the grom, so I don't know how it feels. As far as caster, here's another video on a different build that, I think, is an interesting example of caster, trail, etc when building something ruclips.net/video/xxfW1UuU-tg/видео.html
