Nicely done Adam, the sound of these locomotives is certainly a great way to end my weekend! Chased it back from Castlemaine today, regretting not going up on Saturday haha. Keep it up man 👌

Awesome video. Watched many times. Takes me back to my childhood growing up chasing grain trains hauled by the mighty Y’s & T’s

Been seeing photos of this all day on the groups.
They don’t beat seeing and hearing the event from Pannier Productions 😁

Great film. It's always a pleasure to see film containing considered camera shots and is carefully edited.

Great video Adam, would have been an awesome chase, also great to see you went to Daylesford as well, an N set on a branchline, sure does look interesting lol. Will be interesting to see what colors it gets repainted when it is due for it. Great filming of the Y's too.

The Y class doesn’t have VC, I don’t know if one would have been retro-fitted for heritage operations.

In Castlemaine, the video shows the plaque on the running board “repainted in 2019 by the Maldon Young Volunteers Group”. It was done out at the Maldon works shed. 👍

With 3 locos, there must be a big heavy load of alcoholics on board

@@chuckmaddison2924 They were only for shunting and light loads such as the bridge at Echuca which was old and had a weight restriction. BTW they used Tait bogies which presumably VR had in surplus.

@@darylcheshire1618 I was thinking nothing more than a shunting loco.
Even the vintage Deltic from 1961 was 3300 horse with 2 motors. Could do 105 mph.
