Calm, steady and consistent movement. That's the result of concentration, dedication and practice, practice, practice. Young man is a master of his trade. Kudos!
I currently just got a new job that requires me to tig frequently. I have some experience on the machine. Enough that I passed the weld test and got the job. That being said I struggled very hard to feed my wire smoothly. I was giving a filler rod to take home and practice alittle. I was still struggling with my technique even after practicing alittle and I was was getting very frustrated. So I shot over to RUclips and started looking. This technique changed the game for me. Now I have no issues And filler rod is flowing smoothly. Big thanks to you guys. Really saved me probably weeks of trial and error. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I adopted this technique in welding school for uphill TIG. 3 years (June 2024 now) after school, this technique helped me weld some 1/4" round stock handles on a 16 gauge stainess screen frame. It was the only way I could get in the corners...
I’ve been trying to feed rod like this gentleman and have never been able to to it properly. His work is always beautiful and I’m trying to step my game up dramatically.
TOP GUN FAN!! Love it! Teaching my grandson filler rod technique. He is 13. He practices 3 minutes a day each hand for right now. Thanks for bringing KaneKid to us.
@jasheed albahari Thank you for saying that. He has not turned 18 yet and decided to get his GED a year ago and is in the final class training for HVAC. He already has an apprenticeship offer. I am so excited for him. He lives about 12 hours away now.
Thats a cool set of shades, thanks for sharing Rush and Bob these videos are awesome cant wait to see more from the Instagram welding community whoop whoop !!
I dont know about old welders and the difficulty to change for this style of feeding BUT as a very new welder this feeding style was both easier and more presice for me...
kanekid method of feeding filler rod is perfect because it prevents nearly 99% of the "wobble /bobbing around" the filler rod does when feeding the wire with every "other" method of feeding.
That is a very interesting way of holding the filler wire. I'm just starting to tig weld with my everlast welder so I guess this is the best time to be trying out different techniques
I just love cramming that rod into the tungsten :P I will practice more on feeding rod soon when I'm doing some aluminum stuff, so theese pro-tips are deeply apriciated. Hope I might one day get cofortable with feeding like Kane the Kid. That guy who made the rod-feeding video here on the tube some years back called it bunny ears thing, but I'd say it's more like the peace feeder ;)
You know I didn't think I would enjoy his method but when I started to relearn tig I found i would panic when feeding and forget to "clamp" down with my thumb to reset my pointer and middle finger. I made a joke to my buddy that I should weld over my shoulder cause I cand feed it better in reverse! Then I remembered kanes method and I been solid since!
Can you please make a video on welding mild steel to cast iron. I was asked to weld a mild steel flange to a cast manifold to create a turbo manifold. The weld is going to take a lot of stress and heat cycles, but I know it has been done successfully. I just don't know the correct process to follow and what filler to use. Can it be Tig welded or is stick the way to go? Thank you in advance.
I started welding when I was 15 & spent 2 years in Vo-Tech, welding many years now & have never seen this technique, "KANEKID" KILLS IT!!!! aluminum fears him!
How many inches per minute do you estimate you’re feeding rod? My left hand is paralyzed so I’m designing a battery powered Tig rod feeder. I’m thinking 12-16 IPM?
I like that observation: Practice until you can do it right and then keep practicing to where you can't do it wrong.

This guy is so still. Even when he is sitting there he is like a statue, maybe helps his welds.
still waters run deep
I will never have to cut my rods in half again. This technique is amazing. Great control. Thanks

I'm learning tig rn, and it was intimidating until I saw this. Fingers crossed for my next try. Thanks for the video, mad informative.
How is it going bro?
I’ve been trying to feed rod like this gentleman and have never been able to to it properly. His work is always beautiful and I’m trying to step my game up dramatically.
Wow I didnt know how to feed rod, and now I found the way that I like it. Thanks guys.
This guy is good, but seems very humble. I dig that
introvert?
@@xinixxagnix201 Nothing wrong with that, could just be camera shy too.

6061 as a guest would be awesome
pratap that dude wouldn’t do it cause he’d have to show his face.
or he would have to speak.
It would be funny if through the whole video he didn't say a word or show his face and just give hand gestures and weld. haha
Plot twist...pratap is 6061
You know he wont show face
As someone who is just starting out...I am amazed with his skill!
Wow. I’m definitely going to try that technique out! Those are some sick welds KaneKid!
Practice until your time and money argon
Welding puns for $200
!!!
LOLOLOLOL!
I see what you did there...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its good to see both you pro's showing us guys. Keep it up !
Top job.

Thank you Bob and Kanekid for a great video
Notice how the tip of the rod never left the shielding area of the cup. Professional
I did notice that.
the chap is amazingly talented!

Being critical about your work is a good habit to have
Just started tig-in, (thank god for you tube contributors) think I just found my mentor (kane not the old boy) and what nice bloke with it.
Lmao the bloopers 😂 Bob you're definitely my favorite
When you’re this cool 😎 the TIG UV’s are always shining. He’s the Prince dime stacker
Very consistent smooth technic. Time for some finger yoga and to practice!
Legit, smooth and consistent.
Old Bob keeping up "Country Relations," except you weren't in a 7?g inverted dive with a mig21. LOL!
LMBO on out takes . That was a ton of knowledge there thank you for sharing awesome videos
I like those Prince sunglasses Rush!
fieldres is the next boss welder to visit the show
Bob got the hots for Kane 🤣🤣
😂😂😂 man I was feeling the same thing , young dude looked a little uncomfortable too
Video editing. Masterpiece!😎
Wonderful video, very interesting and great to being able to learn from kanekid :3 but also really funny at the end that was the best xD
Badass video welddotcom keep them coming
Rush is a freaking rockstar!!!
JD Brewer I know I had no clue Steven Tyler was a good welder
“I hate it when it does that” hahaha. Bob Moffet is the man!
A man of few words for sure.
@7:08 crying laughing at that!
It took me a few minutes to get that down. I can finally wire feed and feed like he does. Awesome/helpful video Bob!!!! Thank you so much!
That is a very interesting way of holding the filler wire. I'm just starting to tig weld with my everlast welder so I guess this is the best time to be trying out different techniques
me too!

It did look like a machine. Great looking.
Great work Mr Kane Thanks
very nice technique man!
You know they’re good welds when you think bob is fighting the urge to kiss him the whole video 😂
going to try that technique. Great shout!
Love the glasses.

Bob if you are looking for guest and are looking for real works welders, check out PETER ZILA channel. Great guy and does some amazing things.
awesome I love that guys work!
Awesome. Thankyou Bob.
R. Kane, “Good Will Hunting “, of the welding community!
Great work!
If your right hand is your dominant hand, feed filler rod with left ?
Very nice technique...
the dudes a machine
This guy might put a robot out of work. Beautiful welds!
Wouldn't have been nice to know the gauge and grade of Aluminum and the machine and torch setup.
Thought I was the only one that fed like this 🤣
I started welding when I was 15 & spent 2 years in Vo-Tech, welding many years now & have never seen this technique, "KANEKID" KILLS IT!!!! aluminum fears him!
Man I love these videos could watch all day.bob what welding lense was the camera shooting through the sentinel A50 ?
How many inches per minute do you estimate you’re feeding rod? My left hand is paralyzed so I’m designing a battery powered Tig rod feeder. I’m thinking 12-16 IPM?
7:00 is the best!!
Nice standing on the shoulders of giants... thanks weld.com!
Pretty much amazing!
Hi Sir , wanted to ask you , Does using a foot paddle ( instead of hand button torch ) improve the bead quality ?
AutoPro but let me just say that I got one and I love it it eliminates so many variables
Very inspirational
What kind of welding gloves are used in the video?
Awesome video 👊🏻🤘🏻
Hello, great technic. Hand fatigue is significantly reduced. more of it.
Nice to see though I think I seen that technique before in my past life visions.
Now, with educational as well as recreational bloopers. :-)
Imagine that.... He works for Sparks MOCO! Focus on the arc does too
wow nice weld
That went from Bob Ross Does Welding to Lee Mack Does Welding in 0.5 milliseconds. :joy:
Soooo cool in your lady shades!! 😂😂
Where did he get those gloves?
Sounds weird, but for me the Kane method works best. I've tried different types of wire feeding and Kane's method works out best.
I think bob is a little sweet on these welder.
ya, by 4:41 is was getting a bit awkward and uncomfortable.
Yeah WTF bob
Yeah he was getting too close for my comfort.. and im safe at home. Poor KaneKid.
You need a hood with a mirror in it to watch your back around bob if your a good welder. Lol
My fingers cramp up so bad trying this method lol. seems like it would work though. ( I'm a noob though )
Nice welds, what's with the sunglasses indoors.
Mastery of technique always looks deceptively easy. Then you attempt to imitate and realize the level of Mastery involved.
Its all about how you first learn. I started off using the Kid’s feed method, now doing it “traditionally” feels really strange.
How to well a broad head to blow gun shaft?
Looks young but like he cut his teeth on a tig torch. He grow up in a welding shop?
And this ia a real PRO
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cool stuff !
nice technique! Will try like this. Extra like for sentinel A50 :)
Impressive.
Anyone knows what glove is he using?
Awesome welding but the “ bro sunglasses “ are just killing me.
Good Joob guys especialy bob learning really quick and i like doing TIG welding but with Ar since its less dangerous than Oxycetilene
maybie you should try welding like that too xD
lol i might consider making a video someday
yeah i see what you did there you just liked your own comment XD as of different acc no thats just a frend thanks!
I suck at tig cause I can't feed the wire without it shaking so bad and not getting the puddle all the way
Is it me or this old dude has a crush on @kidkane lol
kanekid woooooooooo
I mean no disrespect to KaneKid, but, are these just pretty, or are they strong as well? I think a cut and etch is in order.
