I was trying the same invigorated flail thing with hammer, but spear is too strong right now.
This build also have a total of 62.5% DoT reduction with Desert Sunrise active.
I played the same but with blooddrinker and ofc it works.
I'm running Bleeding sweep to apply bleed and get the extra crit chance (more crit, more stam, more debuff duration on enemies)
But you could drop coup de grace and pick the perk of 25% dmg vs knock down enemies to stack it with the 20% from ODO and use: Sweep + ligh + Cyclone to min-max burst dmg (they can't dodge it, knock down recovery animation is long enough to chain both attacks)
I'm running 300 dex because Freedom and Invigorated share the same perk label, so you can't have both.
Also flail dmg is kinda bad anyways, so I'm focusing in spear for dmg, flail for utility and boost my spear with 30% empower on block, max hp, extra invigorated and vigor, etc.
There are more options too, but I just want to show how it looks like when u have 80%, 90% invigorated. (In s5 they fixed some effects not being reduced properly, kinda a buff)

Flail is a really good utility weapon, it can provide so much value. Dmg is kinda meh, everything else about flail is cool and all the abiilties are viable.
At some point I'll make a odo/execute video too. I played it long time ago when they fixed odo, but I never made a video yet.

Thinking trying this build out in war. Do you think it can be good as disruptor? Most of disruptors run SNS/spear these days, flail actually can be a better utility for both self defense as well as group support/peel (vortex)
Hmmm, I didn't try it in war, so I'm not sure.
Also in war we have cleanse pots and healers, so in general it is just better to go for tumbler or iron pants.
But maybe some flail/spear combo could work 🤔, both weapon apply ton of debuff, u have 2 of the strongest CC in the game (knock down), vortex could save people's ass quite a few times, and spear, that well... it's a spear xD
It depends on the composition of the roster, even the meta of your server etcetc, but I could see it working.

Yeeah 100%. I'll make a full spin to win build, but worm Quest was bug so I couldn't finish it to test the build in action :/
I'm planning to do it at some point this week. Right now I'm on the train moving to another city, so I missed the worm run last night 😅

Oh and about the perk to craft on it, I'm still not sure but dmg when you have active grit is properly the pick.

I would wait for Spear nerfs this week. There is highly chances I'll make changes in the tree, probably drop perforate on weapon and maybe use it on armor.
And I'll also be trying again the GA version of it, or maybe with hammer. I'm still not sure.

Tbh New World is having a hard time :/ Not only for the number of players, in general, the interest in the game is very low, even for the remaining players.
People are just waiting for the 'HUGE announcement" but at the same time all the previous huge announcements weren't that huge, so people are not even hype about it. And the game is quite broken at the moment xD
But I hope AGS can save it because I really like the game 🙏

Yeah, sh heals was nerfed some time ago, nothing change with it in S5.
It's still a BiS perk for many solo builds.
