Just a warning, the Midnight Sapphire is pretty dark and they might as well have labeled it black. I just returned mine for the Cadillac Green so now I am waiting on that. It sounds great though!

These Player’s Edition guitars are very high-quality instruments! Granted, they’re not as good as the venerable Country Gentleman or the 6220 model, but those are the ones they’ve been making since the late ‘50s and cost A FORTUNE! I know, because I’ve got one! But.the Player’s Edition guitars are well made and affordable. And unless you know the difference just by looking at either one, you’d never know! Only a Gretsch sounds like a Gretsch! That’s why their slogan has been “That Great Gretsch Sound!” for many years.

How well does the player Gretsch guitar stay in tune with the bigsby? I had the 140 anniversary electro. and it would not stay in tune. Even after installing locking tuner, nut cut and roller bridge. Thank you

Theres a fender, a gretch "playboy" amp and a head and cab. The guitarist from paul mccartney uses those. 13 or something

I've got thumb inlays on my limited edition hollow top (black with gold hardware)have had it for 2 years,no problem so far except they set the action too high from the factory,got that taken care of

There are plenty of Gretsch demos with clean sounds. They’re obviously aiming this model at players who use dirty sounds too. There are plenty of things on this Earth that are more worthy of your hate than a guy who’s basically just doing what Gretsch want him to do.
