Actually really glad you uploaded this. I searched for an unboxing on these about 2 weeks ago and couldn’t find one, thank you

I've been searching for a decent hard cover set of all the GoT books and I just couldn't find anything decent other than this set. You've convinced me to get it! Thank you.

I think I've been hearing that Winds of Winter is "about to come out" for the past 10 years, I'm not even going to pretend I'll live to see A Dream of Spring at this point 😅

@@theBookMage well in theory we just really need winds, dream is said to be a book about what happens after the story ends, so if George somehow finish winds we would already know the end.
But I think that the show was what ruined him like I enjoy writing but almost always give up because of insecurity of what other people might think of my texts, George saw the disapproval of the show ending and although the books are 200% better I do imagine that it influences him, probably hi his writing and deleting a lot of stuff because of that.
It would have been better if the show just awaited him to finish the story, they had a lot of material for future seasons so I do not know why they rushed to the end.

Nice video! Would you recommend these or the folio editions you mentioned? These seem to be a bit more achievable money wise

I think it depends what you want. If you're in US, the Juniper editions will be a lot more cost effective (shipping-wise and if you can just get the dust jackets and source the hardcovers elsewhere). They also make good reading copies since it's just the standard hardcover. However if it's for a collection, I think the Folio editions are more worth the money. They're wonderfully made, cloth-bound, with lots of original full colour artwork and headers, and the first copy comes with a large colour map bound as its own volume. They are a really great collector's item but just less easy to read as they're heavy and couldn't really be taken out of the house.
If you just want cool matching editions you can read with ease, go with Juniper. If you're willing to spend a little more money for a lot more quality (and you have the shelf space), then Folio. Personally if I could only keep 1 set it would be the Folio editions. Hope this helps!

@@theBookMage thank you! I never thought of the readability of them, the folios do look big and chunky. Think I’ll go with the junipers. Thanks again!

You have the Folio and juniper versions? 😮

I lack self control 😅 the Juniper set will likely be my reading copies, since aside from the jackets, the hardbacks are just standard release so I wouldn't feel bad adding wear or annotations. The Folio set I can only read at home (even if they weren't huge and heavy, they're too pretty to risk taking outdoors).
