The whole world needs to farm like Joe Salatin and our food source would be clean. Like he said go back to the 50's before big pharma, when pork was proper and red. Again, thank you Mike for taking us all on your families journey of knowledge.

"farming is science" Well said! Agriculture deals with nature and things you can't control, so farmers have to deal with objective reality (what science tries to establish) so they basically have to apply a scientific approach Many urban careers are ultimately based on political, economic or social realities, all things that are created by people and arguably artificial and arbitrary, i.e. non-scientific. And the rules can change any time. What I mean is that, with many jobs, their reality is dictated by the whims of people, e.g. politicians, customers, bosses, etc. Whereas farmers have to deal with nature, which is unconcerned with the opinions of people, so they have to deal with cold hard facts

This has been a fabulous time learning about Joel and his farm, philosophies and seeing how his systems work. Being from Atlanta, there wasn't a farm for me to be on during the school year. But my mother sent me each summer to my grandparents small, retirement dairy farm in Bucks County Pennsylvania. There on the 48 acre farm, Gramp had three cows, two chicken houses, one pig, so many apple trees, a Bartlett pear tree, and even a Bing cherry tree. I followed him around all the time as a helper fascinated and watching. I had chores and did them every day. Watching Justin Rhodes' videos has really taken me back to a lot of great memories. It makes me want to get started. I am lapping up ideas, especially about starting small. So I am so thankful and happy to spend a lot of time listening and learning. I have been somewhat of a gardener for many years, but now I am taking in so many new better ways that is very exciting. At age 77, it may be a bit different for me, but I am still fascinated. I have thought maybe I am too lazy, but maybe not. Will you posted.
Joel has mastered nature’s machinery, its system. He tunes decisions according to the factors of sunshine, rain, and seasonal variations. His animals are the gears that produce food from his husbanded land and all in harmony with God’s intentions. His conjecture about links between our thinking (cognition to Latin lovers) abilities and the nutrients we ingest are sobering. Thanks for this wonderful tour of a healthy farm that is inspiring a massive return to the land that sustains us all!

He is correct and that’s how the Japanese do for there cows and sell there beef 100 a pound. Because of the care of there beef. He is on point and it is proven
I don't know if it's Japan or not but one of the Asian countries, guess what they do to their beef while they're still alive? They beat them with baseball bats to their senseless to tenderize the meat! That is wicked and evil I saw a video of it, that was snuck out!
I’m sorry, they don’t. That’s not how it works. The Japanese cows DON’T/CAN’T exercise because they spend their whole lives in a concrete pen, often tied to a post. This means that the Japanese beef is very marbled with fat. Pigs/cows farmed by these gentlemen have far superior quality of life and would get my money if I had the choice. By the way, I’m a farmer in Japan and have worked on a local cow farm for a short time.

when my knees began to flutter and I sank down in the gutter
and a pig come lay down by my side
As I lay there in the gutter , thinking thoughts I cannot utter
I thought I heard a passing lady say
Hmmmph You can tell the man who boozes by the company that he chooses
And with that....
the pig got up and walked away !!
Joel you are amazing. Thank You for expressing your Human Ness😋😉😁
28:10 That pig was listening to his explanation just then. It caught its attention.
After watching a few of your videos, I am impressed with your interviewing skills. I love this series.
This is so great. People interacting outside WITHOUT masks . Thanks so much.
It was so great to see people's faces.
@Micheal Nice Vid, How are you doing
Hope we get to know each other with time and patience?
Those have got to be the happiest pigs on the planet!
Gabbie is great. I love seeing the knowledge these stewards gain and carry on from these projects!
(thanks! ❤️

Wow, Joel is crazy smart. Just a wealth of knowledge and seems to have a passion for teaching.
I'm an older subscriber, and I really like to see the way that you're improving this channel. I really liked the short video you did with your elder boy, in which you mentioned the 'Warrior Kid' books; also how you educate the viewers at the same time as you yourselves are learning, right on camera. Good job.
Thanks for the content.
Keep up the good work.

Well done. Great job at promoting pork production with regenerative agriculture.
Love the excitement in your voice! Great video
You are such wonderful parents doing this for your children ❤🙏🏼
Man, I would love to visit his farm. You’re so lucky to have visited and hang out with the folks at Polyface.
this man is full of wisdom! great video.
Not only is his land better managed but on top of that because he's shepherding the land rather than trying to own it the animals are happy all of his animals are happy God bless you all thank you for sharing this video he is a wonderful man I cannot wait to put my hands on his book again thank you so much God bless you for my family to yours
These have been good videos at Polyface--keep up the good work, Mike, Lacie and family!
Wish I had a person to teach me like this old farmer. People like this are gems to their communities.
Wow 👏 great job. Also the young lady at the end she has an amazing outlook on life and farming. We need young people out there farming. I have always said know your food and what better way than to grow it yourself
Dude God is so good to send Joel as a pig (etc) prophet, the lived-knowledge that comes from this man is gold.
Y’all do such a great job with these educational informational features. well done 👏🏽👏🏽
God bless joel salatin
I've watched Joel on/in Video's for years, and WOWSA, this is definatly the BEST one EVER...Seriously, it is...AND, I'm wondering if he ever keeps the Wild Turkey's , That would be cool,Lol Joel is a wonderous speaker...he knows what he's talking about, and I love listening to him, till he loses me with the stuff to much for me to understand,,,,you kept him going just to that point, and then went to another subject, lol LOVED Gabby !! God Bless !!
Ahhh man I am so jealous of the experiences that you are getting to see and learn first hand there. I know the children are going to enjoy that memory. Thanks for sharing.
We had an awesome time there! The kids loved it too.
