Who would have known that birds would love to play. Just doesn’t seem like something a bird would even consider. What a great mind and disposition this little guy has. If I had know these guys were so ful of love with humans I would have gotten one many years ago. I’m now way to old and don’t know how many years are left so wouldn’t want to get attached to one and then have to leave them. I’m 72
You could get an older caique, you are 72 but if you're healthy you could live another 20 plus years caiques can live up to 30 years and some can live yo be 40 on rare occasions, That being said at 72 you can still get alot of good years with a caique just dont get one that's to young, unless you want to..
Too cute! I just got one 6-8 weeks ago. Mine still has the green spots on the head too & formula feedings. They are called the "clowns in the bird kingdom" maybe it should be "clowns & road-runner" referring to the high-energy in the bird kingdom. I did find out with training sessions several times a day as many as mine wants to do it she or he will go in its cage because she has been mentally worn out & physically worn out. And just discovered her main treat week for her training which was walnuts as small as I could get them. But sad to say she loves her daddy more than me. 🙁
Playing "towel" was my lovebird's favorite pastime. She could do it for hours if you were willing. If you asked her if she wanted to play "towel" she went running for it. So funny! We lost her last year at age 18. Left a hole in our hearts!
So sorry to hear. I know how you feel. I felt the same when I lost my cockatiel. She was a sweet little bird. She could unhook my grandmother's watch and fly away with it back to her cage. My bird was a clepto lol xD I miss her :'(
I’ve only discovered you and your channel a couple months ago....it started with Autumn and their homestead. This video is adorable, he does remind me of a kitten with feathers. And look at you!! All young and short hair. You seem like such a gentle, delightful soul; whether with a bird, possum, or with Autumn....the world needs more people like you. Thanks for sharing your adventures
Hi..... So so adorable. I have a baby and she has black on her head as well. Is that going to go away as she gets older? Or is she a hybrid..... The guy I got her from said she's white bellied, but a bird store owner told me she was hybrid. She's 16 weeks old

Yes, the black on her head should eventually go away and become all orange as she gets older. I never heard of a hybrid Caique. Cheers!

No. Kookie does not live in any single cage. She is pretty much free ranging and sleeps in various cages or nests depending on where we are.
