  • Bei diesem abstrakten Bild arbeite ich mit Strukturpaste und Gesso. Nach dem Trocknen folgen Lavierungen und Lasuren, Tropftechnik mit Ethanol. Auch etwas für Anfänger!
    Gesso and structure paste, washes and glazes, dripping technique with rubbing alcohol - These are the techniques I work with in this Video. Even beginners can do this!

    For those who are confused about marble flour or dust, you can get it from Dick Blick on line if you can't find it in your local art supply. Wheat flour, as someone below mentioned, would not be suitable substitute & would have a different effect. But it is fun to experiment!

    I think in lieu of the marble flour, you could have mixed vermiculite in with the gesso. Maybe not but that is what it looks like. Nice video. I watch very few without either advancing or stop watching. In this case I stayed. Thank you...

    I really, really like it very much ! Two questions: 1) did you add some other colour to the bottom part out of camera 2) what now? Will you put matte varnish on it ? It looks great with that rough texture but is it secure ?

    Hi Gerda! Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! I'm wanting to do something similar using a roll of canvas and use it as a photo backdrop. Is the acrylic gesso flexible enough to be rolled up and down or will it crack and peel off?

    • @GerdaLipski

      Hi! Gesso is used to prime a Canvas. It is possible to roll it up carefully.

    • @GerdaLipski
      @GerdaLipski  5 лет назад

      With water you get another effect, you can drip on water to a moist paint layer. Then let dry, until the layer the area round the water drops ist dry and the drops are still wet. Then dab away the drops with a paper towel. You´ll get some dots

    • @GerdaLipski

  • @lindaehemann9677
    @lindaehemann9677 5 лет назад

    Do you make your own binder too? Have you used gold leaf and if so what kind of glue do you use. What do you seal your painting with. Love your technique.

    • @GerdaLipski
      @GerdaLipski  5 лет назад

      I´m not a chemist, so I can´t produce binder. I just fill it up into old water bottels or something. I didn´t use gold leaf. Normally I don´t seal.
