Before we went off to make our own mixes, my music teacher played the Intro to my class to give us a taste of what kind of music we could produce from Dance Ejay. Pure Nostalgia and absolute Gold!!
I seem to remember using Dance Ejay 2 to record some bedroom heavy metal around the turn of the millennium. I miked my little Squier guitar amp with a pair of old headphones and used DE2’s drum sequencer to plot some ridiculous double-kick beats. A poor-man’s Cubase solution, lol!
Thanks for uploading, brings back a TONNE of memories!! My home recording hobby started with this gem of a software around 2000, and a couple of friends have gone on to pursue careers in music. We would have no hesitation crediting eJay as the starting point.
The "Other" demo at 31:36 and "Camron" at 28:05 used to be my JAMS as a kid! This software is what got me into music production and these demos still slap as hard as they did back then! Thank you for this!
Great times with Dance Ejay 2. I remember spending hours and hours doing songs and trying new things. At one point I could literally see the colors schemes in my head when I put some of the songs playing. Good to know that the app is still out there and helping kids getting into making music. Thanks for sharing.

I have some songs recorded on cassette tape that I did with eJay 1 and 2 in the late 90s. Unfortunately I no longer have a cassette player, but when I provide one I will find a way to upload it to YT.
The 'Mega Dance' saw leads were always my favourite go to melodies (not that there were a ton of good ones to choose from!). Awesome nostalgia, thanks for uploading.

Used to have Dance Ejay and techno eJay collection pack. It contained dance and techno and 12 discs (I think) with lots of samples. Was a lot of fun to play around in. The I tried FL Studio and was so lost :P

The very first song was on an online rhythm game « audition online » under the name « Groove generator - Release me » ! It was featured on the European version of the game that closed around 2014/2015 ! It’s quite funny to find it’s source 10 years+ later
I remeber I made a KILLER using this and wavs from a Red Alert theme pack. Annoyingly... we could only export .Wavs Which...frankly didn't fit on a floppy disk(CD burner? What I wasnt that cool at the time!)

I still have the Dance Ejay on CD ROM I installed it to my Windows 98SE build recently.
I got hooked on Dance & Rave Ejay - I still have both of them loaded on an old Laptop somewhere.
Wow, what a blast from the past! eJay music software is what got me into music production. I use Ableton Live these days though lol.
This was the best software I ever had. I used to make video games and used this for a lot of my music. Then dance ejay 5 was awesome too. Nice video!

Hold down clt while dragging samples.
