Another excellent film Rafael. You already know my stance on the circus that UTMB/IM has become, I'm not a fan at all and have no interest in that after decades of IM. We will go to Chamonix for a week of adventures but not UTMB week. However, you captured the drive, family and work challenges of doing this sport perfectly. I have a 77km race and another 3 day multi stage race in Oct, all in Cornwall and all part of my prep for Arc100. Collectively this will mean 6 nights away from my family and considerable £££. The support of family is essential and communication is key. I would also add, it's vitality important to make sure you give back to those that are supporting you, even if it's somewhere you don't want to go, like the Harry Potter Studio in my case.🤣

Yeah the new UTMB series is like Marmite haha you either love it or hate it 😂 i kind of like it but maybe it’s because I’m new to the sport and they seem to put together a good infrastructure compared to some stand alone races I have done. Good luck with your adventures! It’s tough to take that time away from the family… despite the guilt I think we return better husbands for our wives and better father for our children. It definitely is key to give back haha i am now in Napoli for a few days with the family to have a break together, without any running haha

I completed the Westmalle trail of 21km and another trail two days ago the trail des idylles of 35km with 2300D+. So I'm on the right track to the Ultraks and I hope for you the same positive news. Awesome! I didn´t expect this recap of your race. It´s kinda different than your other videos, but amazing . So many Stairs and Streets along the course, that´s no fun. I thought you were looking to the other side of the ocean for a 100k.
