Just wanted to take sec and share I used to work for a promoter and run a bar. Many Moons ago like 2005ish we booked your group and out of the hundred + bands I worked with to this day you guys are still the most pleasant and fun people I ever worked with. So many had ego's but your whole group was chill and almost 20 years later I still just have in my head... "those were some good people" So I hope you're doing well and thank you for being the band I say I had the best time working with. Wish you nothing but success!
BFS should be credited for PTPG getting appreciation for their genius song writing. This song deserved a lot lot more success the first time around and we all know BFS can cover absolutely anything. Keep doing it, guys, my favourite of my favourite bands!
I mean, aside from the fact that Patent Pending's former guitarist now plays for BFS, and this is off of the BFS cover Album... I'm pretty sure they didn't hide who this song is from.
@@fantastic2.078 nah its better then this one, this one is still good tho but PP's sounds better in vocals and music at least the music video is better here tho
I've just watched the Super Mario Bros movie to listen to this classic banger of a song, and now find Bowling For Soup have done a cover. Long live the nostalgia! Great job guys.
It’s funny because ten years ago when I heard this song by patent pending, I thought this reminds me of BFS. I listen to the rest of the album and they had there own vibe but this one song, I though was very much a BFS song and now it is…..
Wow I love you guys. Next time you guys hit the Boston/Providence/Worcester area I am there. I've wanted to see you all for years. On a different note, you obviously don't know me from a hole in the wall, but I remember watching one of your live stream forever ago where you guys said you were going to drop some weight for your health. What happened? Just for reference, I was over 300lbs in January. By August I was down to 207lbs. All I did was start intermittent fasting since I couldn't do much else in the beginning. My back was an absolute mess to the point where a neurologist/physiatrist told me surgery was the best option. _"Losing weight might alleviate most of the issues, but with all the things going on with your back I don't think it is a reasonable option..."_ I was like _"Wait, losing weight might take care of the pain in my back/neck and mobility issues along with fixing my hip and knee pain...but back surgery is the best option? You know what, I am at least going to try."_ When I started I could not stand in one place for more than 1 minute or so. I couldn't walk more than 15 steps without having to stop to decompress my and/or neck. It was *RIDICULOUS.* I started eating in a 1 hour window. That sucked. I bumped it up to a 3 hour window after day 2. After 2 weeks I started alternating between a 5 hour window down to an occasional 1 hour block while forcing myself to walk every day. Within a few weeks I was up to about a quarter of a mile. Lol, I ordered one of those stupid electric ab stimulators a month or so in as well because someone had written in the reviews that it helped immensely with their back pain. I used it and went to walk my dog again. About 30 minutes and a mile and a half in I realized not only had I gone further than I had since before the pandemic, but my back did not hurt. It was astonishing. Still is. That stupid $30 wrap-around electric "6-Pack Abs!" (it may have only been $20, I forget) belt worked? Yeah, I know, absurd. Lol, and no, I am not selling belts in my spare time. Anyway, I was down to about 275 already, though the majority of what I lost was water I assume. From jan 15th through April 15th I went from 305lbs to 260. I decided to join the gym. every other day/3 days a week along with the walks and fasting got me to 207lbs by August 4rth. I could walk indefinitely, even jog on occasion if I felt like it. I was benching 245lbs for reps, squatting 295lbs and deadlifting 465. Yeah, I went from not being able to stand in place to lifting over 450lbs off the ground. I dind't limit any food groups or types of food for that matter. I did make sure I stayed in my window though, typically having 1 protein drink, an 1100-1500 calorie meal and a couple of scoops of ice cream with a handful of chocolate chips...And coffee. Lots of coffee. No silly Olive oil and vinegar drinks. No _"Carbs are the devil"_ nonsense. Keto works the same way everything else does. Calories in, Kcals burned. 50 is the new 35...when you're in shape again, and I'd like you folks to be putting out songs for the next 30+ years. You're gonna have to drop some weight to make that happen. Not being a dick. You guys are fricken great and your music brings back, helped create, and will hopefully create more great memories. I'd hate that magic to end early because of food. I mean shit, I have a 4-pack and stretch marks on my stomach now. When I drop down to 185 or so I have a mini skin curtain which I will probably get surgery on if I decide I want to stay that low (I'm around 203-205 atm). I eat whatever I want, whenever I want now. I'm just more conscious of not going nuts every meal. ei every meal doesn't have to make me feel full and I stopped eating because I was bored. Sure, 3 or 4 pieces of blueberry bread in the morning with my coffee may have turned into 1 piece, a few slices of ham and an orange, but we are talking 675 calories vs. 300. If I know I am going to want to mow an entire large pizza at night I'll skip lunch. Little things like that make a *HUGE* difference, as does that walking. Heh, and the belt. I swear that thing is magic...Damn neurologist was so mad I opted out of surgery she stopped prescribing me 10MG Percocet 4x/d because she was not going to _"prescribe medication on a bridge to nowhere..."_ or something like that. Lol, that sucked for a few days hard. 11 months on percs and then _"Either let us open your back or you can have extra back pain, nausea and insomnia along with the chills."_ I toughed it out though. If I can do it anyone can. Like I said, I was in some bad shape fellas. Alright, much love!
This came out so great! :) glad y’all dig it!
Great song Jaret! Is this on the soundtrack?
