Mr McEuen treated me a great performance on summer day back in 75. I was working as a contractor in my home town building a rock retaining wall at the home The Dirty Band were renting while recording at Caribou Studios. Out of respect for John and the rest of them I won't say what town and besides John probably doesn't even remember me because we shared a special moment and no introductions were made. For about an hour he played banjo while I toiled in the hot summer sun, until my boss showed up and made a request for Arkansas Traveler, which John obliged him with and then quietly went inside, concert over, thanks Bruce.
