Dancing in a group is a great way to establish deep social bonds. Creating harmony in a group dynamic is not easy but goes hand in hand with other important disciplines practiced while dancing. The Los Angeles Bellydance Academy dancers are representing bellydance at it's best. They are all beautifully unique, passionate and disciplined dancers who are engaging weekly in our dance program.
Classically referred to as Raqs Sharqi, danse oriental, or Raks Baladi the belly dance is a fusion of Arabic folk styles, mixing with other worldly influences such as Russian ballet and latin dances which developed roots in early Egyptian cinema and the cabarets in 1920's Egypt.
