I am fascinated by Bali and its Hindu culture. Their traditions are more closer to medieval India's (8-12th Century) than modern India's to its own past. So visiting Bali does have an aspect to visiting our own historical past.
Needless to say I would love to stay in Bali for a month or two.

It has the mystery, unique and beautiful Hindu culture that has been practiced for hundreds of years. Balinese Folk Dances that visitors to the island came to love and mesmerize was actually originated in the Hindu ceremony. Many of the Balinese dances are inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana and Mahabarata. The dances are performed by mostly very young dancers and they usually retired at the age between 9 to 12 years old. If you visit the island, make sure not to miss watching Legong and Kechak Dances.
