From the footage I’ve seen of him, it’s obvious that Jairzinho was one of the all-time greats? Definitely! He was quick, skilful and scored lots of great goals! I only wish he’d signed for Arsenal, back in the day - as that is my team and I’m just imagining him and our famous, great left-winger, Liam Brady, playing together in the same team, both at their peak physical conditions? How mouthwatering a prospect that would be!!? Together, with our forward at the time, Malcolm Macdonald, they’d have formed a formidable and frightening trio in attack, every Arsenal fan would have been doing cartwheels if that really had happened!!? Lol 😂 Still, it didn’t, but the Great Jairzinho shone brightly wherever he played? He should always be remembered as being up there with Rivellino, Tostao, Pele and Socrates & Co - as he certainly was a world class forward and could’ve easily played for any team in the world at the time, without a doubt! Jairzinho… sir, I salute you! You’re absolutely magnificent!! 🎉😮😊❤

He was bronze ball in 58 World Cup, scoring 2 goals in the final match, and was golden ball in 62, scoring one goal in the final. Vava is the only player who ever scored goals in two consecutives World Cup Finals, and is the third all time scorer for Brazil (in World Cups). One little fun fact about Jairzinho is that his son Jair Ventura managed Botafogo some years ago and took them from relegation spots to a Libertadores spot, in which he led them to a very respectable quarter final defeat to Grêmio, being their second best campaign in this competition in club history.

This is one of my favourite videos, Really interesting to learn about the great players of the early generations of football. Would love to see a video about that 1970 Brazil team as a whole because I feel you could do that quite well. 👏

I think you should make an special video for 70's Seleção. I mean, you did mentioned the front four but the other six also worth the lights. Félix, Carlos Alberto, Brito, Piazza, Everaldo, Clodoaldo and Gérson. Jeez. We miss our glory days. Btw, excellent content, as usual.
