Just put down a deposit today. Got rid of a lot of silly features and looks. Got away from the staircase tach and speedo, back to the circular type. Changed out fake looking rear fascia and widened front end. Changed steering to even better flat bottom and top racing type wheel. Changed torque vectoring to facilitate better turning and later braking for track use. Number of little improvements here and there.
@@JRLL81_ Only in YOUR opinion. Get it? Some of the cosmetic changes are a downgrade in terms of quality, Audi is doing that with all their cars. Else, opinions differ. That steering wheel looks very cheap, because it is. The car to my eyes looks softer, less aggressive and the only thing I actually do like is the bucket seats, but here in the UK Audi hate us, so we won't get offered those. The wheels are from the RS3 Performance model, so actually the same deal if you have one of those. I've had my carbon Sportback for a year, so not looking to change it and then, my God, check the prices out. Ten grand more for what is essentially the same car.
Love the cleaner look of the new facelift. Lesser intersecting lines. Was upset to hear those cf bucket seats weren't coming to the US market but this is the third video I've watched that said they are not comfortable for daily use. Look great though. Hope to see this available soon.
@@jessermaier 8v was a little girl's car. Too soft looking and dated interior, with a poor driving position. I owned one, sold it after 6 months, got a TTRS, now in an RS3 sportback - night and day better than the old 8v thing.
I just started shopping for an RS3... Why is it that the 2024 in this video has a alcantara flat bottom steering wheel, but every 2024 I've seen at the dealers have a solid leather round steering wheel? Any answers would be appreciated
@@EmpireofBricks-SWLEGO I've actually gotten the answer. I've been doing research all day for 3 days. Here in America you get the perforated leather round wheel... But if you get what's called the RS design package, it comes with the round alcantara wheel
Compare the price. In top spec, over £70k for the sportback and that's without the buckets, colour interior upgrade and ceramics. Audi really taking the piss, so grease yourselves up guys and prepare to be shafted if you order this facelift. Glad I got mine before this nonsense, saved myself ten grand and my RS3 has the RS Dynamic Pack, plus full carbon pack. I'm OK with the facelift, it's not that much of a change, but for Audi to use it as an excuse to hike prices, they can f*ck right off and that's what I said to the sales guy who called me today thinking I'd want to order one.
Why do they keep overdoing the exterior of the rs3? People buy this car for the 5 cylinder motor and the performance, not because we want the biggest grille imaginable. Do less on the exterior make it more affordable. Also, start importing the Sportback to the US!
‘24 looks a lot better. More character, better wheels, and the front side intakes look like fighter jet intakes, which is something the ‘25 just doesn’t capture. And let’s not talk about that hideous rear end on the ‘25. Also, using dark lighting to enhance the ‘25’s lights was disingenuous
What I find amusing, the cheap black plastics are still there in the interior and no B&O, now it's Sonus. The styling changes I bet all saved them manufacturing costs and that steering wheel was outsourced to a the lowest bidder, judging by how cheap it looks. Audi is doing this with all their cars now and they are then hiking the prices up. Many people have had enough of this. The new S5 Avant is the same starting price (no options) as the current RS4 Avant in the UK and look at the lower level of quality in the new car. You can get a fully loaded BMW 340i Touring for less money and the finance rates are half Audis.
couldnt even add cooled seats for which we know is about to be a much bigger MSRP. The wheel haptics are bad, guess they didnt learn from the MK8 R with those ugly red buttons, the rear looks like the WRX diaper, the front is okay, but no RS badging is a fail. The 8Y is def better. Id probably just get the bucket seats and put them in the 8Y
I don’t dislike it but I prefer the current version better, most of the styling upgrades haven’t improved the looks but the current one looks pretty good already. Not a fan of the lights, front changes and the steering wheel, not sure about the rear with the huge diffuser but I do like the carbon seats. If I was wanting to order the RS3 now I wouldn’t be dissatisfied with this but I’m happy I got the current one instead
I'm looking for an RS3 Right now, but the 2024s they have at the dealers have around leather steering wheel. But I've seen a lot of 2024s with the alcantara and flat bottom, like on the green 2024 in this video.
