- HUGE shoutout to the folks at Big Buddha's RC Ranch! They put together a great fun-comp!
I took my mostly-stock Redcat Ascent Fusion - and it continues to surprise me with how good it is!

Big buddhas is the bomb! Super cool rock and beautiful trails 🪨 thanks for the awesome video 📹 loved the fly by an view from above 👍
Thanks! I really enjoy going there.
RedCat has a winner that truck did a great job as well as you
Thanks! I agree - really astounded me how well it does.
So happy you had some fun on our first comp! Next month we're going for distance!!!!!!
Bro baller comps 👌 cant wait for more and the 5 man later on 🔥🔥
I'll have batteries ready!
My buddy got one of these trucks and it's great. Only complaint is the body run, which I have took to calling the "Redcat Roar".
Yes! A great truck.
A small trimming behind the wheel eliminates the rub. Easy fix!
Was a great day, great turn out for the swap meet and crawl, each time I go it gets better, appreciate the chance to attend!!!
Yes! I am super grateful to have such a cool place we can go to!
Hoping to make it out there sometime in August.
Awesome! Hopefully I will see you there! Keep me posted with dates.
its a great place for RC car guys cool bashing and crawling too
*🦘Au🦘💯full view always📺thumbs up👍enjoy your weekend😎*
Thank you 👍
Wow! Big Buddhas is The place to go! Love the rock course! So this is a timed course with the 88 gates?
Yes! Fastest time through the gates wins!
Out running mine on saturday and the output shaft fell apart on mine.... even after I threadlocked it... Love the truck though!
Yes -the output shaft issue is annoying - but fortunately an easy fix.
Man that is such a great place. Awesome coverage once again Troy. :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm surprised Redcat hasn't started using loctite on the pinion grub screw, it was a well known issue in the first ascent.
I'm actually not 100% sure that loctite is the final answer. I *thought I had loctited these...but maybe I had not.
I wasn’t the ascent fusion so bad but it’s on back order every where 😢
Yes - it is a great truck - that is hard to get your hands on. Redcat just announced in their recent live video when they expected to get more of them.
That’s an amazingly capable rig. Noe one.
Yes it is!
That is 1 awesome course 👍🏾💯
It sure is!
Now this is the kind of Comp course I would love to do.
It is a fun one!
That place is crawler heaven 😍
It really is great!
A lot of my local guys are running Capras and I’ve been thinking of getting one but I really prefer the look of something with a lexan body. My favorite looking RC currently is an SCX10iii but I know it definitely won’t handle capras or competitions, right? I am thinking of getting a stance VRD but I hate the body on it. That JLU scx10iii has that look but not performance. What’d you think I should do?
The SCX10iii is a good truck - but certainly doesn't have the performance of some other trucks out there.
My go-to trucks right now are the Redcat Fusion, Element Ecto, and Vanquish Stance. I would suggest picking the one you think looks the best.
@@RoadsideRC okay, so better looks over better performance?
@@MrFiSH-qu8yg I prioritize performance first.
@@RoadsideRC Okay, awesome. Thanks. Well I’ll keep in mind the VRD as well as the ones you mentioned and possibly a Phoenix or something as I hear they are in between a scale crawler and a Capra in some cases.
