      In your website it cost over $600! Where does it cost under $400 like u said in your video?

  • @nicholasvollaro4727

    You should re-upload the video for just the 2019. You can't put the bracket/tow hook on unless you put the bumper back on. You can't slip the bumper the top bracket

    • @nicholasvollaro4727
      @nicholasvollaro4727 2 года назад +2

      You also left out the fog light wire that has a clip that needs to be removed before you can get the bumper off

    Neglected to mention that you couldn't bolt your bumper back on with the bracket and tow hooks installed?? Seems like it would've just been easier to remove the grill.

      Don't have to remove the grill but you're right this video is terrible. You have to put the bumper back on and re-install tow hook/bracket with bumper on

      Yeah that would’ve been nice for them to actually do it in order instead of editing the vid when they realized they fucked up. I’ve been fighting this shit and ended up scratching my paint

    Best instructions I've seen on an Grill Guard thus far. How about an install for a Ranch Hand GGF21HBL1 on a 2020 f150? Thanks

    I have an identical
    grill guard but with the removable headlight guards. Unlike many, you can reinstall the tow hooks AND it still shows off the STX grill and matches the grill lines. Yes, the grill isn’t as protected as ones that cover up the grill. Biggest PITA on install was reinstalling the fog lights. Do that with two people holding the bumper a little outward before bolting the bumper back on.

    This video was misleading all the way around, so install tow hooks and brackets before or after reinstalling the bumper? How did the fog light bulbs magically remove themselves then get reinstalled with no mention of it?

    • @jayenaish1894
      @jayenaish1894 4 года назад +1

      No shit..they had to of installed and reinstalled a hundred times to get to end..all they had to do was remove 6 bumper nuts to tilt forward after you've installed the tow hook and bracket for top mount..they are not very good liars

    You mentioned in your video that the black finish cost under $400 bucks, however in the link to purchase it cost $630+....why?

      Unfortunately due to reasons outside of our control (Covid, Tariffs) prices have been fluctuating- in some cases wildly. -Justin

    seems like you installed the tow hooks at the wrong time in the beginning. Did u just removed them then reinstall?

      Yeah, I re-played that portion 3 times, it does seem that the tow hooks were re-installed TWICE.

    THIS MIGHT LOOK OK BUT WHAT KINDA PROTECTION DOES IT GIVE YOU OTHER THEN THE HEADLIGHTS KINDA AND AGAINST GRASS AKA BRUSH GUARD. THE GRILL THAT YOU WANT TO PROTECT THE MOST FROM SAY A DEER COLLISION THE DEER WOULD FIT IN THAT NICE BIG GRILL OPENING GOING RIGHT INTO YOUR RADIATOR IF YOU HIT IT ANYWHERE ELSE ITS STILL GONNA MESS UP YOUR FRONT END CAUSE THOSE UPPER BRACKETS ARE NOT REINFORCED TO THE FRAME SO THOSE WILL CRIMPLE OR PULL OUT THE BOLT WITH ANY KIND OF COLLISION AND DAMAGE BOTH HEADLIGHTS AND GRILL AND THE HOOD. NOT THAT GREAT OF A PROTECTION BUT IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY GO FOR IT IF YOU JUST WANT THE LOOK.

      Thank you. Someone also has a keen eye. From a structural perspective this is more of a light, key word light, broad object protective grill. It doesnt protect the fragile center and the bottom of the bumper where an impact would likely strike if it was set on the ground.

    Hi, is it ok for expedition 2014 ?

    • @americantrucks
      @americantrucks  5 лет назад

      We have not tested this bumper on the expedition models since it was designed specifically for the 2015-2019 F150s. You can always try to make it fit, but we can not guarantee fitment. -Zach

    THESE LOOK GREAT BUT TRY AND CHANGE THE HEADLIGHT IF IT GETS BROKEN. AND DONT TELL ME IT CAN CAUSE IT HAPPENED TO ME. THE TILT BOLTS DID NOT ALLOW THE BRUSH GUARD TO TILT FAR ENOUGH FORWARD FOR THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY TO SQUEEZE THRU. i HAD A CHOICE PAY AN EXTRA 4 TO 5 HOURS LABOR TO TAKE THE FUCKIN THING OFF THEN CHANGE THE HEADLIGHT THEN PUT THE BRUSH GUARD BACK ON OR CUT THE 3 PIECES OF METAL OVER THE HEADLIGHTS...I CHOSE THE SECOND OPTION THEN GOT HOME MADE PROTECTORS WHICH CAN BE REMOVED IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. IT KINDA RUINED THE LOOK BUT IT SAVED ME HUNDREDS FOR A COMPLETE REMOVAL AND REINSTALL....AND YA I HAD THE RIGHT BRUSH GUARD FOR THE YEAR OF TRUCK I HAVE....

    • @nicholasvollaro4727
      @nicholasvollaro4727 3 года назад +1

      Why didn't you just take the brush guard off the brackets? You could do that yourself in 5 mins

      @@nicholasvollaro4727 I have a winch tray and a 10000 pound warn winch which complicates things. I had 3 different mechanics look at it and they all said the thing had to come off for me to change a headlight. I dont think they all were just after the labor rate thing. I phoned parts engine and had them look up the winch and brush guard they sold me and confirm that that was the actual one for the truck 2016 f150 ecoboost 4x4 and they said it was (which I did upon purchasing it) and they also said that my truck had flaws if I had to take the passengers side aftermarket flares off to install it but we did because we could not get at the bolts and tighten them at the frame. (the wheel well had to come off)This kit looks awesome on the truck and I have even pulled a few out of trouble in the winter months and have had a lot of really nice compliments on how good it looks. I will agree with you it should be an easy fix to change a light fixture but it is not...on my truck anyways...and this unit was installed correctly. I will never do this again...lol....just an add on here... I should have got one like this one where I could have unbolted the center pieces where the light fixture is.
