I have alot of French blood in me so saying "The French were only really known for being fashionable" all I got to say is "Hell yeah. I can't kill something in some rags!"
I have a trench gun that my family inherited from my grandfather when he served in WW2. I shot it once, it’s super old and needs to be restored. But it is BADASS!
Before Badger's video I never new the name of that circus clown song is called "Entry of the Gladiators." How was a comedic sounding song given a threating title?!
Because it's backwards "Entry of the gladiators" was originally for strong men and other "gladiator" type performances. Then someone had the idea what if we played it but as a joke the clowns came out instead? People thought it was funny but they re-used the joke so many times the music was associated with clowns instead of other things.
2:10 - yeah, "Peach Creek" (name of the fictional home town where the characters are from). I watched the minisodes and the trailer - it's both bringing back memories what was before and curious what would the Ed boys be now and etc. Even though its fanfic, i like it.
I personally can’t wait for Sniper Elite VR, I think it’s looking amazing so far. Probably less than sixty bucks plus you get some nice stealth, sniping, and shooter combat
PSSH was not reliable... drum mag had big problems so they went back to stick mags. It also had a nearly 1000rpm rate of fire, and ejected brass straight up and back down on top of you unless you were moving. BURNING RAIN!
The drums were the problem, which could have been resolved if the Soviets weren't cheap bastards. Other than that they weren't too bad, and they were very simple mechanically
Unfortunately, the OPness of the shotgun during WW1 is mostly a myth. While it is true the Germans protested its use, it was mostly just a PR move to make the Allies seem worse. In reality, the shotgun (specifically the Winchester 1897, which was the only trench gun to actually see combat in WW1), was issued in very small numbers, and even fewer numbers of that actually saw combat. The biggest issue is that they were first issued with paper shells, which is fine almost everywhere except the damp trenches of Europe. The shells would swell up and render the gun useless. Later they issued brass shells, which were better but had a few other reliability issues. The reputation of trench guns in combat mostly comes from later wars like WW2, Vietnam, etc., when a lot of the issues were worked out. It’s still a cool story though lol
This is true. It wasn’t until the Army started issuing the Remington 870 and similar models that shotguns (or “trench guns”) were really seen as being absolutely devastating in close quarters. WW2 is when shotguns really saw their real entry into practical combat use. When they were using proper plastic shells and innovations like incendiary rounds (commonly called “Dragon’s Breath” rounds due to it basically making the shotgun spew flames) and slugs (which were perfect for punching through body armor) made the shotgun very versatile. I’m all for US armaments, but truth be told, if I had to choose between an M4 and a SCAR, I would chose the SCAR. Just a bit more versatile.
Hell yeah canadians for the win world War 2 was our shit are take no prisoners mentality was what made German high command order that if there were canadians on the field they were to focus on us first cause we had some of the best marksmen hell we had one from ww1 the ghost in the trenches sabaton did a song on it. Leo major is a great canadian hero from ww2.
The thing with Canadians in war, is that we are efficient, serious and innovative. We will find the easiest, safest and most efficient solution to problems in a war. We won’t go as far a causing a war crime, but we might accidentally create new ones. I love how the stereotype for Canadians is how friendly we are, but we are total monsters when it comes to warfare. 🤣
A good idea is to make sure the usb is in a matching usb port, I had those tracking issues a lot when I first got my Rift S and I had thought that it was my shitty lights as well, but I found out that I wasn't plugged in to the correctly colored usb port cause I'm a color blind dipshi-.
I heard that the Garand ping was so quiet that they had to make a patch note involving highlighting that they made the ping louder. Some even thinking they forgot it entirely. It’s sad when your biggest feature in an update is a sound tweak.
Fun Fact: If you shoot a grenade with a rifle round it will explode, but OO Buck will shred a grenade. WW1 US Shotguns were shooting German Grenades like they were Clay Pigeons.
When it comes to Omaha beach, this game gets it more right than others like cod. The layout of the beach, the accuracy of the guns, planting bombs on hedgehogs, cod is usually a bit over the top but medal of honor gets it perfect
On that note of shotguns I just realized that yea the pellets aren't gonna spread immediately because the barrel is small so they just go everywhere then
31:34 Those pressure washers they use on mining equipment may as well be plasma cutters, because if you stick your hand in front of that shit, IT WILL BE GONE IN AN INSTANT.
The Germans actually wanted the Model 1987 "Trench Gun" banned because if you hold the trigger while pumping the action hard enough, it will automatically fire the round without having to pull the trigger again, meaning that a soldier could fire the gun as fast as they could pump it.

I'm pretty sure Badger failed to account for the fact that the MP in MP40 stands for Machine Pistol (okay, _Maschinenpistole,_ whatever, it literally means the same thing). And a machine pistol is, technically, STILL A PISTOL. And in a fight between 9mm handgun bullets and .30 right bullets, the rifle bullet comes out on top in terms of stopping power. Every time.
WW1 Germany: uses serrated and/or triangular bayonets that rip flesh and can't be sutured right, chlorine gas attacks that make men cough blood and lung pieces, and bathes entire trenches in flamethrower fire. Also WW1 Germany: 12ga bad, war crime pls? 🥺
Peach creek is what your thinking of Nate for ed edd n eddy. Also THANK YOU for reminding me of it. Didn't know minisode 2 was out. 1 minute later edit: Fuck it I'm watching that first sorry Nate.
I remember with the Germans threatening to kill any American with a trench gun they threaten to kill any German troops who wielded flamethrowers and serrated bayonets. Though the US still used trench guns in WW2 but they weren't as common in Europe as they were in the pacific because they were useful in jungle warfare that marines nicknamed them "Boom Sticks"
If I remember right, the American response to the Germans trying to ban the Trench Gun was to say "Okay, we'll just start executing Germans with flamethrowers, see what happens."

Trust me guys the WW2 joke about France isn’t the surrender it’s how much they say “we liberated France bye our selves”. Seriously go to any WW2 exhibit in France and they pat themselves on the back so hard it’s actually funny they even look tanks for the US and Britain and replaced all the markings with French flags
France also loved themselves for ww1 so much that they didn't upgrade the majority of their military or their tactics so they weren't necessarily prepared for ww2.
If you think the PPSH is good, the Italian Beretta 38A was better than both the MP 40 and PPSH. That fucking monster of a SMG had the accuracy of a rifle firing 9mm like what the fuck.
Cod ww2 had the germans firing PPSHs at me when I got to the trenches on the first mission, which totally ruined it for me. I have no clue why they didn't just give them the proper MP40s and kar98ks. Sorta ruined my immersion like why not add the Russians into the game too? I liked the presentation of the landings although i feel like the whole game focuses on just the American perspective too heavily. Many different countries were supporting one another during the landing such as the Canadians who drove a good portion of the landing craft and manned the 50 cals.

It’s a threat
Whenever I hear the song nowadays, I always imagine someone swinging a sledgehammer to the beat. Kind of like: Bum ba da da bum bum ba SMASH!!
Because it's backwards "Entry of the gladiators" was originally for strong men and other "gladiator" type performances.
