I believe this is so that I don't get hunged up by the future or the past. And just staying present in the moment. P.S. I have the same tarot deck and I picked a card for myself and the future partner too and got the exact same cards! The strength card and the king of wands. How synchronistic!! Also, I believe I don't want the connection to happen right now. I almost never have trouble picking one pile over the other, but I definitely couldn't pick between 1 and 4 this time, so I watched 1 first and then 4.
