    i really like the proportional heal idea. it doesn’t buff her numbers but indirectly gives her more versatility, something we’re seeing a lot more of as the agent pool grows

      Sage is not a healer, she’s a Sentinel. Sky is not a healer, she’s an Initiator. Sky is not being picked more because her heal is better, she’s being picked more because her kit is better.

    not gonna lie, her util is so expensive its annoying (800 creds for full util). i think reducing the slow orbs to 150 creds can be a good small buff

      I may sound stupid, but I'm just practically silver, but in my opinion the sage slow orb is like the most useless ability ever, I've literally never seen anyone use the ability in a meaningful way even in the slightest,and I don't see why you'd ever even buy them.

      ​@@ardzemhmthat's because silvers will rather face 5 people rushing head-on hoping bullets will magically fly towards all 5 enemies' head rather than throwing them at the entrance to slow enemies down and buy your teammates for retakes. It's also good for dueling since it limits enemies movement, which means they will have a hardwr time trying to counterstrafe your bullets. Or maybe combo it with damaging utils i can go on all days but you get the idea

    Oh.. SAGE. I would argue that she need a rework here. I think that as the ranks increase the amount of strategy involved does the same. So as a sentinel she really isn’t doing her job very well. Since the biggest part of a sentinel is slowing down a push. Her slow orbs are literally just wasting money. Answer me this. What’s actually viable, a molly that damages everyone inside its radius. Or a mat that makes a cracking sound when you walk on it. Anyone who asks themselves that question is going to figure out the obvious answer. That’s why her pick rate in pro league is going to be awful. Because they actually think about what agents they’re playing.

      Her slow is better than you think especially if you play off of it. I don’t think she needs a rework in my opinion.

      You might be a new player imo cause her slow orbs are very strong if played well, they can slow down pushes and buy you a lot of time

      Her wall being useless is overlooked by people because she needs a voiceline to let her team know that her wall got destroyed by the enemy. I would also say that they need to add flash or stun to her wall that covers a conical area (much like Yoru’s clone) if the enemy destroys her wall too early before it fully sets up

    Make it so her heal jump to someone else in range after the initial target is full health.
    Or
    Allow sage to overheal a target and add temporary health that last for a few seconds.

    The reason why she isn’t used in pro play is because she doesn’t give any info unlike other sentinel, I think the best option would be to make her slow like deadlock and let sage know when people go on it

    the heal to herself should heal shield like if you start the round with 25 shield and you get hit it maxes out at 25 or if you are like 90 hp is heals 10 hp and 20 shield.

    Make Sage's rez work kinda like her wall: they start at like half HP with a free cast of her heal on them, and can move around instantly with a second or two of invulnerability
    If they jump right back into fighting, it's a worse ult, but it's significantly better if you can reposition and try to stall

    The second heal charge will be hard, because u will must buy the new charge, sage actually cost 800c if her heal cost 100c, it will be 900c for all utils, so i think the proportinal cooldown would be better

    Honestly I think another reason she isn't picked in high elo is that she doesn't do as good of a job at locking down site as other sentinels. Cypher is kind of crazy ATM even with the nerf, deadlock is pretty good with her grav net buff and wall buff, chamber will most likely be picked over sage because of his trip (even if it's not global), and KJ has great info getting abilities and her ult is so useful in so many different scenarios

      She doesnt do her job as a sentinal well and her util isnt that versatile compared to other agents, sentinels rn are super busted and having guaranteed info on 1 or 2 lanes is super OP and sage doesn't have that

    Suggestion: make sage's wall be her signature rechargeable instead of her heal, and have the heal have 2 charges at 150 creds each.
    Her wall is her most iconic ability anyway and having it free and rechargeable might actually make sage a meta agent

    No pro team is picking a character for their ‘heal’ in valorant. Sage just isnt a great character for the most part, however she is pretty beginner friendly which is why she has a high pick rate at low ranks

    Making such would be hard for devs(they can but the lazy)
    I'd suggest that self heal would also give full hp to sage and her heals work like clove's overheal (hp restored just as the ability is used). It'd make it viable for solo queue too and also make her a better healer. (Make the countdown 35 seconds too pls)

      I think it’s understandable. It’s done so that sage as a healer becomes less of a selfish agent. A lot of sage mains would just save their heal for themselves because why bother giving it to teammates. It was done to encourage people to not play the agent selfishly

      They should at least buff the time - at one point she healed everyone for 60hp but it took 5 seconds to heal others and 10 seconds to heal herself. Now she only self heals for 30 but it takes 10 seconds to heal herself.
      I think keep the team heal at 100 for 5 seconds but have her self heal be 45-50 over 5 seconds - it's still less health over time and healing others is still better than herself.

    Make it so she can heal multiple people or if she heals someone it heals herself too by a certain percentage and either make her slow do a certain amount damage per second or make her wall longer so she's more useful on larger sites

    i honestly think the dual heal idea is great
    orb cost down to 150 and the second heal costing 100 would be a good start, maybe decrease wall price to 350 or 300 too, though idk if that would be unbalanced

    Sage needs a rework or major buffs; the issue with her is that sentinels NOW are supposed to gather info and/or slow pushes and lock a site down… Sage only has her wall which can still push from one spot but leaves the rest of the openings to a site open which every other sentinel has utility to watch and or lock down multiple choke points. If they want to give her a good buff; either rework the slow orb since it’s useless honestly OR give her 2 walls and make them 600-800 credits each that way there’s an economic value to the walls and you would have to be careful with buying them every round since they would eat up your economy if you’re not careful. And make it so they can’t stack on each other that’s just my opinion though:/

    Sage is alright right now. I think by nature she will always have at least a decent pick rate but it’s not because she’s notably good.
    If you’re going to pick sage then it’s because of her wall which is great but if you can’t find use with that then you might as well just lock someone else in.
    Her orbs are very underrated imo but the heal is in a very weak spot right now. I don’t think comparing the heal to skye is a good idea because by nature the two characters and going to be used in very different ways, but the heal should maybe have something more unique.
    An interesting idea that could maybe be messed around with is potentially reducing the amount healed, but instead making it so the heals don’t require LOS anymore. This would make it so sage has two strong abilities and brings more value to her than just “the wall character”
    Honestly I just think sage is so weak right now and SOMETHING needs to be changed for her to be someone I’d enjoy playing again

    A small buff would be useful, I don’t think she needs a huge buff or a rework. Sage I think is one of those agents where if you buff her a little too much, she can break the game. I would buff her heal and make it so that her wall either has a bit more hp or has a further wall put down radius. Also buff her heal, make it so that maybe it’s still 100 to allies but 50-60 to yourself. Her ult is great overall. A rework isn’t really necessary here.

    Give her slow orb one charge and make it completely stop movement for its duration. Reduce the radius as well. There should also be a visual indicator for where it lands before it activates.
    Give her two charges of heal 60 HP each. Rechargeable. Sage is an A tier agent now.

    Or an eyeline group heal where she can heal someone and they then heal someone else but for less while they are in eyeline of sage. Perhaps with a trail like reyna. It would slowly get weaker each time it is passed on.

    Make her heal, heal 1 person for 100 hp but while the animation is going on, anyone in close proximity to that person gets healed for up to 25 hp.
    Make her slows give 25 shields to allies for a direct hit and 15 shields if they walk on the slow.
    Make her wall last 5 seconds longer.

    The proportional heal reminds me of pathfinders grappling hook and what they did based off how long you use it. That’s actually a great idea!

    I like your rework ideas but I’m gonna add on to it… make it so sage can’t heal herself like Skye. She already can’t heal herself for that much and in the lower ranks where she’s picked really frequently people just selfishly heal themselves over and over again

    I know how to fix isos ultimate. Make it so isos footsteps are silent in his ult. This prevents your opponent from knowing where you are and gives iso an actual advantage in the dome.

    Rework slow orb than the heal, Her heal is fundamental of being a sentinel of holding down angles which makes her trades and still can heal back to full to take another trade once more.
    Rework slow orb to have the ability to pop it early. seemingly to work of a mix breed of deadlock's net but worse and the mechanic of clove's grenade. Being Directly hit by the slow orb's either roots the enemy on place as well as laying down an ice path like before except, if the enemy stayed on the ice path before it expires, it roots the player for at least 0.5 to 1 second. or rather make the enemy unable to fire their guns for a set amount of time. which either would synergize well with her wall or her being a sentinel. so that way, she could anchor site better or at the very least. stall the enemy much more. it would also introduce playstyle and possibly some lineups using this changes to her slow orbs.

      Maybe turn the slow orb to a signature ability while still two charges that go on cooldown and refills it up to two. Then the heal make it two charges and lets you self heal for 40 and 70(can survive one guardian body shot) for allies.

    Why does sky get 100hp heal and AOE ? But sage has 60 single target? Raise the healing to maybe 80+ atleast

      cus skye needs to stay with her teammates and loses the ability to shoot while she heals but sage can just heal and continue fighting

    Also great speedrun and commentary. And I like how they went back to narration roots after warrior within. I wish they'd kept narration and monologues in warrior within too.

    It works similar to a moli except that it recharges her heal from the soul of her opponents

    If I had to change Sage, Id rework her slow orbs into a shield which she can either use on herself or her allies. 20 to self/35 to allies maybe. Maybe 15/25. I'd also extend the duration of her wall.

      The slow orbs is good as a sentinel holding the site. Could argue to make it 3 instead and reduced cost to 120.

      @@pauloazuela8488 I disagree. The purpose of Sentinels is to slow down pushes, No single agent should be able to "Hold a Site". Sage doesnt need the Slow Orb to slow down a push when she has a wall, unless you want to say her wall should become a slow orb

    people miss the point that skye isn't a higher pickrate because of just the heal yeah it might help a little but skye is an initiator and all the util works to support that role while sage is supposed to be a sentinel but where all of the other sentinels have util they don't have to wait there and use reactively sage either has to drop the wall at the start of round and hope somewhere gets pushed before it goes down or stay at the site which makes the amount of map control gained from it much less effective
    yeah the slow orbs and the wall can hild space fairly effectively but its just outclassed by just having a turret and alarmbot or two global range trips or a trip and gun or even deadlocks sonic sensors even though those are also not great
    also if I didnt explain this the best im tired leave me alone

    In my oppinion the heal should get buffed a bit (maybe like said in the Video) and on top of that the util should be cheaper in my oppinion. Maybe 300 for the wall and 150 for the slow orbs. Since rn she hes on of the most expensive utils but they just arent to valuable for the price

    Sage pick rate isn't being thwarted by the superior skye heal. Healers aren't a class in valorant. Most pro comps have no healing abilities. She just doesn't hold up to other sentinels on most maps.

    Anothr idea: sage can heal as many times as she want but her heal just has a health% she can heal before cooldown, so you can heal like 2 teamates for 50hp instead of one and losing that other 50hp.

    You could make it a heal over time toggle with a charge system like neons sprint which also helps with people instantly dying and wasting heal cd

      Pick rate isn't the only basis for balancing. Non mirror win rate, utils per map, and average gunfight wins all matter.
      This is just one of those youtube videos that sound cool but literally sucks ass when implemented in game. There's a reason they're a CC, not a game developer.

    like TMV said what if sages heal and slow swapped places where the heal is not recharge able maybe it gives allys 100 hp and yourself 50 but the slow now recharges making her better at slowly down pushes, since most of the times your teammate would die before you get to heal him

    I think sage should get rework bc she doesnt fits in sentinel class and her heal is pretty weak in highier ranks. Just change heal with slow to get her out of "support,healer" class that doesnt even exist in valorant.

    Rework change it so the slow orb is the main ability that way she is an actual setinal. Make it heal 60 and have 2 charges. The slow or also can have 2 charges and has a cooldown of 30-45 seconds. This would make her more of an actual setinal since rn her slow orbs are her second best ability in her kit and they do jack shit bc you just throw em out and that’s it

    I personally think it's the wall that needs a buff....coz her wall is very good! But 2 of them would be too op and just 1 is too less... So I think sage wall could be 4 parts where in player can select how much proportion of wall to use places like catwalk can be walled off by 1/4 of wall and main can be walled off by 3/4... ok this might be too broken thou... Ahhhh

    I would make it so if she heals herself the cooldown is only 20 seconds so if a less punishing/ a waste to use it on your self but still better to use it on teammates (cuz sometimes your missing some hp too but everyone’s healthy then you heal your self and then someone takes a hit and you gotta say sorry just used it)

    Buffing the heal will do nothing because in pro league and radiant people almost always hit headshots so as you go up in rank the healing abilities usefulness decreases till it vanishes so however you buff the heal sage will never be played in pro league and radiant if nothing else in the kit gets buffed

    I honestly think her slow needs a change. Its kind of good for info because if someone walks on it you hear it even if they are holding shift, sounds like broken glass crunching, but i dont think it slows enough.
    I think that they either need to change it all together or alter the slow speed in between the current speed and the speed you move at when you are detained. Just somwhere in between, so it has more usage.

    Idk if its the heal but sage overall gets outclassed by most other sentinels (exept deadlock ofc).

      even deadlock is better imo, her gravnet can be combo'd better with like raze nade or mollies and the stuns can be paired with deadlock ult or net too for free kills for you and your team. the slows for sage are hard to play off of

      Deadlock atleast has maps where she is decent. Ascent, lotus, bind she is playable. But picking sage even on her historically good maps (icebox, split) is almost always going to give you a disadvantage. Just picking a 2nd initiator/controller is better 99% of the time

    In my opinion the heal should have two charges (maybe change how the heal works) and make each cost like 150 and make the slow orb her signature with a cooldown

    How about throwing her orb at the ground to drop a heal pool? Tn he more people in the pool the less it heals overall. If there’s one person it could do the 66, if there’s two 33 each, etc

    she has a low pick rate because she is outperformed by other agents on most maps (most of the 5% competitive picks are probably on icebox because of her walls being very good for planting on both sites )

    I like sage wall, so why not have it so that when Sage uses heal orb on an ally or herself they will have a buff( slightly shorter than her healing orb CD so its not loopable) that puts up a wall at the direction of the bullet (like how Yoru's clone turn at the shooter)

    I play sage and it annoys me how little she can heal herself for as it’s only 30hp but for your teammates it’s 100hp😭

    Id like to nerf the heal to 95 and buff self heal to 40. But cooldown on allies is less than 10 sec than self heal. 45sec for self heal and 35 to heal to allies.... Idk

    i feel like the main issue is her heal. like imagine your whole character design is about being a supportive healer and you heal less than a character with flashes and stuns. i really like the proportional heal idea as one of my biggest issues on sage is trying to get effective use out of the 45 second cd

    And why not make it so that is a healing grenade that heals 60 hp to anyone on your team on that area and take 50 hp from enemies?(Maybe that is a bit broken)

    One of the main reasons sage is so weak in higher ranks is because people just start hitting headshots always and a heal isn’t very useful when you get one shot every fight. If you want to increase sages pick rate in higher ranks changing her heal won’t help much with that. The reason Skye was so dominant is because the flash and dog were incredibly strong, Skye’s heal is just a nice bonus.

    Currently if she heals herself it only does 30 I feel like if she is currently the weakest in the team it should do 100 to herself.
