I have the same Pony Jorgensen vise as a face vise since last summer and it's rock solid. Working great so far on whatever I throw at it! Recently, I drilled dog holes and matchfit dovetail tracks on my workbench. Dog hole and matchfit accesories all complement each other very well and work great together. I ordered matchft hardware packs from TayTools a coupe weeks back and eagerly waiting for those to arrive (in Canada) so that I can get started with building matchfit sleds, fences and stops.

Helpful video! It's helpful to see how many of these tools can be used. So, I went to your site to buy the Wood Owl bit, but you don't have them anymore!

I love your videos. Then I remember I can't get most of the stuff in the UK. Then I get sad.

You should offer those Quick-Adjust Hold Down Clamps in 20mm for all of us who use MFT-style benches.

It looks like you chamfered the dog holes in your bench to allow the bench dogs to be pushed below the level of the bench. How did you do that? Great video Mike, thanks.

My guess is he used a chamfer bit on a compact router, it worked great for me.

This reminded me I need to order a single-flute countersink bit (or 4)! Taytools has multiple sizes. It's my guess that this is what was used to chamfer the bench holes.

@@TheMrchuck2000 I'm going to try a deg. chamfer bit with a bearing and see how it works...

What species of wood is your bench made with?

I am not a real fan of dog hole's. To much stuff gets dropped into them and has to be cleaned out or makes a mess on the lower shelf, also don't like to reach under the bench to pop them back up if they get stuck in the down position.

You need to slow down bud, you sound like you are tweaking.
Jorgensen is discontinuing these particular vices becase they are not very good.

      What's wrong with them?

@@AtomBomb- I don't know about anybody else, but I saw one in the store and it really didn't look all that solid to me. Just looked kind of cheap and flimsy to me.

If it bothers you so much, go into your settings and change the playback speed. Your snotty comment just comes across as rude (because it is). I doubt you would ever say something that rude to someone's face, yet you feel just fine doing it online. AYTA? YYA.
