Thank you for this Dan! The best way in my opinion for graphic designers to learn is to watch others workflow. Like you said there are real problems you will encounter while designing which you've displayed a few solutions to get around them! I've been designing for years but it's always therapeutic to watch someone else work it's a good prep for the work day!
I love these videos. I've known Photoshop for years but never got down Illustrator. Thank you for teaching me, Graphic Designer Ed Sheeran (I kid, I kid)
Hi Dan. great video, however trying to design the rope, the joins don't join up, have tried making the stroke smaller but still no luck using the brush tool? any ideas if or what am doing wrong - from the other video of making the rope brush, thanks
Hello Dansky, I've been watching your videos for quite a few months and I have to say that you are AMAZING hands down my friend. I've been playing with AI for a while but I notice that pretty much all of the graphics I create they don't look so good. The resolution is really poor. Do you know how can we fix it? Is it the pixel perfect a solution or how can I create logos that do not pixeleted? Thanks a lot friend
Personally, the best way to get the correct effect is to create a proper Rope brush with corners etc. It could be a little difficult, but once you understand the right math to build it, you are able to create every brush you imagine. I'm not here to hate, but I don't think this is the way to teach to newbies. This is not the way to deliver a professional work to a potential costumer. Anyway amazing editing and quality overall, but I'm not in with the content. Peace
@@ForeverDansky Not hating haha, it's just that once you've got the pattern down you can apply it to p much anything but I can't knock your hustle hahaha

IS there a way to fill the insides of the rope, or any other brush you may create?
Object > Expand. Then use the Live Paint Bucket tool :)
you are a great man
Will you be making a video that covers adding corners and caps within the custom brush? Or is that not possible?
Sir, I have done this rope effect in Coreldraw.
Awesome!
This is Ai

Try ALT+CTRL+Y when you are in illustrator. It may be because there is setting for pixelate the picture. Or go to VIEW and click pixel preview.
After watching this tutorial I realised there is no shortcut for the perfection
WHat would i do without you dan
Can you make awsome texture with ai
