We will be in Carvoiero this winter. We were searching for the proximity to the ocean, the tranquility, a small and nice village, a beach, and nice walking roads. Carvoiera seems to offer all that. Thanks for your video! It helps our decision.

The view of the coast from the front of the church (at 2:17) is fantastic. I took a photo, but I couldn't capture the beauty. Carvoeiro and Vilamoura were our favorite towns on the west side of the Algarve.
There are so many photo ops in the Algarve, we liked the cliff walks in Carvoeiro, thanks for watching.

Hi Tina and Norm. The snow storms at home really make you appreciate the Algarve, eh!
I found that a great many seaside towns, in Portugal, had well-built boardwalks. Some close to the water, some high above on the incredible cliffs.
Sunsets in Portugal are other-worldly. My favourite place to watch the sunsets is Sagres... at ‘The End of the World’, and second is definitely in Nazaré’s Praia Norte... but anywhere you can watch over water is worth while.

Hi Jen, yes the snow has been quite a bit this week, the scenery in the Algarve is wonderful and these boardwalks open up the landscape to everyone. Sunsets are nice in Southern Portugal because they are nearly every day! Sagres would be a good place to see the sunsets as there is nothing on the horizon. 22 degrees sounds perfect to me, I do not like it too hot and I would be happy with that every day of the year. That was a stunning beach as well, especially when it was so quiet. The hills would not bother me and even if I got tired, there looked so many nice places to stop, have a drink and just chill out. Looked a real nice place, cheers Alan 🤘

Hi Tina and Norm 😊 myself and my beautiful girlfriend have been so inspired by your beautiful video of the town and the organised bridge walk, the idea you had about bringing up to the seating area was fantastic - we actually ended up doing it ourselves today. As for the restaurants, we have loved them so far and there is also a great choice of flavours from all around the world (including Thai) , I would like to invite both of you to dinner this evening if you are still in the town - can you please let me know where you are staying? I will arrange for you to be collected about half an hour before the dinner, maybe a drink or two afterwards 😉 anyway, see you soon you guys!

It really is uplifting seeing the blue sky and reliving the moments at editing time, we make these videos so we can remind ourselves of our travels. Sorry to hear the stormy weather is still with you, we have had three days of snow here in Canada (not Portugal lol).

The coves were so stunningly beautiful, and love that they built a boardwalk so you can walk along them. That's nice that they carved out stairs as well.. great for tourists and good exercise. We were wondering when you guys are in Europe, do you lose weight, since the food is different? We have heard other people who travel overseas that say they always lose weight! We were just curious! Good morning☕️Bears and Butters thanks for joining us on our tour it was a gorgeous place to visit and very 🥵 hot that day . It’s funny you mention about loosing weight what we did notice is we ate a lot more nice things like cakes and chocolate and drank more 🍷 wine as it was so cheap but when we got back home we hadn’t put any weight on so maybe that theory is true.
Are you both doing okay ? we noticed that your channel has been quiet with no new uploads and we were getting concerned 😟 as to if you are alright.

@@ThisIsOurRetirement Thank you guys so much for your kind words and concern!! Bears grandmother was in the hospital for 12 days and we were back and forth pretty much daily. Then after she got out we have had to cook all of her meals for her as she has congestive heart failure and is on a limited sodium diet due to fluid that builds up in her lungs if she has too much salt. So it's been a whole new chapter for us of commitment and plus our regular jobs and household obligations.. We haven't really had much time to put videos out, but we are still trying to support our friends, as you are all still creating!! We hope to be back in the near future once we're able to balance our new hectic additions to our schedule. That's interesting to know you guys didn't gain any weight the last time you got back to Canada LOLOLOL!!! Must be true.. that in the EU you won't gain any weight LOLOLOL!! Love you guys and have an awesome day!

After visiting albuferia this Christmas 🎄 the weather was fab between 17c to 22 on some days . How is it like in carvoeiro over Christmas? And any good hotels with indoor swimming pools within walking distance to the town .
We are a family , we not bothered about it being busy so much just pleasant and some nice beaches minus the crowds .
We are glad you had a great time the weather is very similar in both places , we haven’t stayed there so can’t recommend anywhere just Google hotels in that are Happy New Year 🥳🥂🇵🇹

Good Morning Norm and Tina! The cliffs and water look spectacular! These small villages are gems for sure! Question for you. I'm guessing that since these are tourist towns most people and staff at the restaurants and stores speak English? Can you manage ok just speaking English or can you speak a bit of Portuguese? Also if you keep your home base in Albufeira. How long are the car day trips to each of these towns? Thanks Chris.
Hi Chris in the restaurants and stores they speak very good English , a lot of the locals don’t we have very limited Portuguese but get by fine.
A lot of these little towns are between 10 - 30 minutes away so no distance at all.
Tavira was about 50 mins , we have been to Seville Spain about 3 hours and its only a 2 hour drive by highway to Lisbon . Albufeira is very central that’s why we stay there , have a great weekend Cheers 👍🍺🌺
