    I never get tired og watching him. He has glue on his feet! Even when i watch football today, i dont see anyone with the oversite, tecnique and passing like he had! ALL players today could still learn from watiching his matches! True gentleman and artist

    Michael Laudrup imo was one a par with Cryuff. Genius.
    One of ther best players in European football in the last fifty years.

    It is hard to compare those players... Pele and Maradona were great as individuals, but Laudrup lifted an entire team.. He made all of his teammates better...

    i loved to watch zidane play football, i think he's the best of all compare to ronaldinho, messi
    but when i saw this man
    i think maybe zidane himself not sure that how much power that laudrup can be reach if he has chance to face laudrup in the field
    RESPECT FROM THAILAND !!!

    A swansea player was asked.about training under Laudrup. And said When he plays with us. He is The best on The field. A unik player.

    Thing is, Laudrup made everyone else around him world class.
    That's the job of a playmaker.
    Pele and Maradona were better at scoring goals, sure, and if you matched them up 1vs1 with Laudrup they'd probably outdripple him, but none of them had the eyes like Laudrup. He could see every single opportunity and player on the field.

    Excellent upload - when I first saw Laudrup do that I was trying to do it the next day at school. it was the first time I saw Michael play, never will forget it, and yes way before Zidane

    I think it is a stupid discussion who is better than who, but I personally preferred watching Laudrup, he was an elegant player and a gentleman, and everything he did was for the team, he didn’t try to look smart, or dribble without purpose, he just did what was best for the team, and that is also the reason why he didn’t reach the same glory as players who were trying to stand out, both in and outside the field. I also believe that he lives a better life that way. He gave me so many magical moments in Barca and the national team, are there better players? Most certainly, but not for me ;-)

    @987costa I understand your point...I mean it's definately a disgrace that Michael Laudrup is not talked about as much as he should be. He is very underrated.

    They were different players, Pele, Maradona and Laudrup, and peaked in different decades. I quote Beckenbauer: "Pele was best in the 60's, Cruyff in the 70's, Maradona in the 80's and Laudrup in the 90's". Each of them had their own trademarks, and I think it only makes sense to say, that they belong to a very small group of best players ever.

    @Khaled4life Laudrup was voted the best foreign player in spain between 1974-1999.....Zidane only got voted as the best foreign player in 2002.....but still Zidane won more Individual hounors. But This is what Raúl said: "The best I have ever played with." Roberto Galia said: "I have played against Maradona, Platini and Baggio. But the player I saw do the most indescribable things was Michael Laudrup."
    Romário: "The best player I have ever played with and the 5th best in the history of the game.

    According to Raul, who played with both Zidane and Laudrup, Laudrup is the best. Do you honestly believe you know better than Raul?

    They call him 5-0 zero in spain. Played for barca won 5-0 against real m. Go to madrid. 1 match against barca 3 months later. Guess What madrid won 5-0. A madrid boss asked about buying Laudrup. He said We have to stop barca. You take Laudrup. You take The heart. And all stats agree to..

  • @AndersWendelMusic
    @AndersWendelMusic 13 лет назад +3

    @AlizeCiz he shouldnt be the main man he is a midtfielder..- he is not a pure attacker like Romario..you cant compare these two positions and demand the same results.- Laudrup was the reason they won in Barca, and when he left for madrid, then Madrid won that year..5 straight championships for Laudrup. With barca he also won the best player in spain 2 years in a row..and lets qoute romario then :"The best player I have ever played with was Laudrup and hes the 5th best in the history of the game"

    • @Tbonyandsteak
      @Tbonyandsteak 5 лет назад

      Well he started as an attacker. Think he knows how to play that position.

    rivelino did the elastico way before ronaldinho too but they still the trick ronaldinho -trick... it depends on how often and how good certain players perform one trick... and zidane perfected this trick and made it to his signature move thats y he is always associated with this trick

    • @danyoutube7491
      @danyoutube7491 3 года назад

      No, he is always associated with this trick by people who didn't become football fans before the early 2000s when Zidane was at Real Madrid and therefore in the limelight more, and the age of mass internet access had started, and football had become more widely popular than ever before by that period too. Maradona used it extensively throughout his career. It's an age thing.

  • @reziboy100

    @LaudruplLaudrup from about 98 to 2006 Zidane and Ronaldo ruled football...So maybe the 90's was Laudrups decade but the following belonged to those two...and also, you quote Raul and Beckenbauer in support of Laudrup, but what do other greats have to say?...That being said, I think Laudrup is fantastic and should not be forgotten in the world of football.

    I respect your opinion of course.
    But I think you need to be at the same level as those you evaluate. Would you rather have Mozart or some guy on the street to evaluate a composer for you?
    That's why I listen to Beckenbauer. And Romario for that matter, who says Laudrup is the fourth best ever. And Raul who places Laudrup above anyone he has played with including Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo etc.

  • @superlex611

  • @reziboy100
    @reziboy100 14 лет назад

    @LaudruplLaudrup My opinion is that Zidane is better. Laudrup is unbelievably talented, but Zidane just seemed to command every game that he played in. But like you said, the opinion of Raul and Beckenbauer mean way more than anything I could ever say. But it doesn't hurt to comment on this great video :)

    @champen3344 Its his own fault he didnt play more than 80 percent, we can all say what could have been if and if and if. But truth is, he accomplished what he could have, he is the third best playmaker in history, behind Platini and Zidane.

    Maradona was one of the best players in the world no doubt. But he didnt manage to break through when playing for good teams. I mean for napoli he was amazing but when he tried out for Barcelona he was average.

    and people fukin say zidane invented it lol , laudrup is better than pele and maradona , i mean to be honest if laudrup had the kinda teammates that pele and maradona had they woulda won anything , everytime i watched the danish national team play with laudrup , he creates countless chances for them but they miss and kick it over the bar

  • @AndersWendelMusic
    @AndersWendelMusic 13 лет назад +2

    @AlizeCiz a choker??? a choker by definition is a someone who goes down under pressure..Laudrup won championships with every team he played for almost..hardly fitting that label. - he was very much his own man and decided when to give you his best..- which he rarely felt was needed to get the job done.a steady 80 or 90% was enough. Laudrup at 100% was/is much better than Zidane, sorry no contest! and he won the award as the best foreign player to play in la liga in the last 25 years.(ahead of Z)

  • @malelion
    @malelion 15 лет назад

    Sorry guys, Laudrup invented that move. Sorry, nothing to say more.
    Pele was the first football-star, as a player not a man with a reputation. He was the first to be individual player on the highest leve. Such as Maradona. Both of them were attackers, strikers. But players like Zidane and Laudrup were different types. That we can agree... Right? If Laudrup were french, he would be bigger than Zidane. But he is a humble person. Only received 2 yellow cards in his whole carriere.... Enuff!

    I think it's a bit redundant to be discussing who invented what. So what if Laudrup did this before Zidane and so what if Maradona did this before Laudrup. Neither player dribbling with the ball or playing the deep pass. When Ronaldinho did his amazing elastico that particular move had been around for more than 30 years - perhaps even longer. He still exited everyone when he did it and that, to me, is what it's all about.

    @LaudruplLaudrup Romario says Zidane is the fourth best player ever, right behind him (which is laughauble), Pele and Maradona, and that Laudrup is number 5. Every player has their favourites, so just because Raul says he favours Laudrup over Zidane, doesnt mean Laudrup is better LOL. And that clip you have is I guess is between 1994-1996 or such, there are clips of Zidane when he was a teenager doing it while playing in cannes between 1988-1992. So get your facts right next time.

  • @demaavaerebelgiere
    @demaavaerebelgiere 13 лет назад +1

    Laudrup was perhaps the ultimate elegantier on the pitch; calling him a 'choker' misses the point completely. Laudrup clearly wasn't the greatest leader of a team, nor the most decisive player in any of the clubs he played for. And so what?. When it comes to making decisive, penetrating passes; he was probably one of the best ever - for sheer technical skill and ball control he ranks with the very best all-time.
    He was a specialist; comparing him to Zidane or Maradona is pointless.

    @ROEDERBABY maradona was a playmaker albeit in a more advanced position, and id daresay a better passer than laudrup too
    this is actually quite ludicrous to compare him with the 2 greatest players of all time. Laudrup is no better than dejan savicevic, let alone pele or maradona

  • @Beeko99

    i know better than raul every one know better than raul!!
    laudrop is great i watch him so many times and yes he is better than zidane he is the best play maker with totti and ronaldinho but he isn't as good as ronaldo in every thing skills passes and ever thing else .... ronaldo , madradona cruef, pele laudrop

  • @Khaled4life
    @Khaled4life 14 лет назад

    @fridjon83 Because Zidane was the best at doing it, and made it famous. Not because he invented it. Its not like Laudrup did it before Zidane, you have clips of Zidane as a teenager doing it. Laudrup was great, but he is no Zidane.
