Hi Sam, what a great film- you are a very good artist and filmmaker. I have seen a couple of you RUclips videos and I must say they are all good. You are good at lighting them so that they feel authentic and real. I'm looking forward to see more of your videos and your art.
I really cannot remember the last time something on youtube gave me the feels as much as you did with this. In this endless ocean of meaningless imagery you gave me back a piece to my believe that not all video is damned to be interchangeable vanity. Thank you.
How on earth does this video have only 1.5k views? It’s so well written and edited! Algorithm confuses me 😵💫 but I am glad I came across your channel 👌
This is shot on in flog2 the on the Fuji h2s with a viltrox 13mm lens, however the look is mostly from the grade with lots of halation and filmic effects added
So beautiful !!! How did you get this soft look from this oversharpened camera :) ? I tried mist filters and vintage lenses but this didn't really help getting rid of the sharpness. All of image processing settings in the camera are set to -4 and I still can feel the over sharpened image under the filters , but the look you achieved here is amazing and exactly what I am trying to pull out from this camera .How exactly do you convert the flog2 ? I found that the LUT from Fuji makes things even more flat and oversharpened so I am converting it in davinci from rec.2020 and Arri LogC3 gamma to rec.709 until there is support for flog2(which helps slightly) . Any tips would be appreciated. :)
I don’t find it too oversharp to be honest, I shoot -2 sharpeness and use a few of the inbuilt film effects in resolve to get more softness (glow for a pro-mist effect and then play with blur on some isolated highlights to get some Halation). I use fujis conversion to rec709 then transform that to arri logc3. If you want to see a master at all this check out the latest tutorial form a RUclipsr called ‘serr’ he’s right on the money with getting soft film looks out of the H2s He sells a fantastic Powerade. Hope that helps buddy.
