I'm a Ravenclaw, but I often find it really hard to get to work and just end up procrastinating most of the time. I recently found out that by remembering that I am, and putting myself in the shoes of a Ravenclaw really help me get work done. It really shows the importance of believing in ourselves.
I had six chapters of reading and notes to do for an AP class, a review reading worksheet, an assignment on college board, and two math assignments from precalculus. got every single thing done in one day because of this video THANK YOU
A visualization to put you in Ravenclaw Tower: Read through this, then follow it. Close your eyes. Picture the tower as you imagine it. Now, take a deep, slow breath--suddenly, you are sitting in the middle of that scene. Find something around you to smell--smell memories bring a place alive to us the most. Breathe in again, smelling the air. Think of how a burning fire smells (like a campfire)--you smell that. Sniff again--you smell something freshly baked. You smell the cracked spines of the books around you--let your mind fill with the smell of old musty books. You smell the faded, musty, comforting upholstery of the armchair you're curled in. Now, turn to listening. This is the easy part, because of the ambiance. Hear the rain on the window like it's actually behind you, at the window, in the small space of the tower. Hear footsteps walk across the room behind you, voices of some friends moving up the stairs. Hear the soft ruffle of the owl's feathers. Pay attention to your breathing--you are breathing in and out, methodically, deeply, inside the small space of the tower. Your breath sounds close. Now find something to touch in your visualization. It could be running your fingers along your stack of books (what do they feel like?), reaching out to feel the warmth of the fire (how hot is it?), feeling the weight of your body sinking slightly in the armchair, and feeling the slight gust of a breeze (is it cold or warm?)--the window isn't quite all the way shut. Find more individual things to feel in your visualization. Now, with your eyes still closed, turn your head and look around--you are in this space you've created with your senses. With your eyes closed, look out the window and see the nearby spires of Hogwarts. Far in the distance, someone flies by on a broom. You faintly hear the cheers of a Quidditch match. You'll go out and join them a little later on. A little flutter of excitement almost pulls you away from your studies, but not quite--you're in the middle of a fascinating bit of research! Pull your gaze from the window, find more things to see. Glance at the carpet (what color is it?), noticing the faded spots where it gets the most foot traffic. Catch sight of the clothing item (what is it?) flung in a corner, forgotten. Feel the cat suddenly rubbing across your legs, your attention turned there. Take one last look around--at the intricate mantlepiece, at the galaxy ceiling, at the heavy pleats of the drapes, and the sunlight making squares on the fabric. Now, open your eyes, and get right back into studying (or whatever you were doing). You are still in the tower. You just need to keep that feeling and that image in your head whenever you think of it, and when you lose it, take a moment to close your eyes and briefly visualize it again. Enjoy! I've been using these Harry Potter ambance sounds playing in the background for a while now, and I realized Ravenclaw actually works better when I'm studying! It's really nice especially when any outside noise like talking and music distracts me, the calm and cozy Common Room is perfect to study without any distractions and stops me from hyperfocusing and burning myself out since the music changes a little bit on the breaks! Thank you so much for uploading this, and I hope everyone is enjoying this as much as I am. You can do it guys, we all are gonna achieve our dreams!

These Pomodoro sessions are awesome thank you so much! I'm writing my master thesis in Philosophy at the moment and writing exams in Medicine at the same time. These sessions help me so much to stay focused and motivated. My topic is really interesting but I underestimated it a bit. Being in Rawenclaw even helps me to gain more self-confidence that I can do my stuff. And till now it worked really well, even when I haven't slept much. Please make more of these Sessions! Visualizing myself studying in the Ravencalw common room is the only thing that has been helping me push through my studying. The spaced breaks also helps me with spaced repetition of information which is really helpful. Thank you for this wonderful video!
