    I think a lot of the pattern matching also stems from to use of mirror Route concepts that
    team runs.

      Agreed - helps to neutralize the seam balls as well. I've seen it played from inside and outside leverage. Both has it's advantages and disadvantages

    Sabin calls it Rip/Liz, I believe. I feel that it gets messy for the linebackers who have to match crossers, fast 3's, "robot" digs and navigate the "under" calls. Do you get involved with all that in your coaching?

    Looks fairly straight forward for 2 x 2, but doesn't the matching part get tricky with 3 x 1 formations and bunch?

      It does! Typically linebackers in the box need to push out to match #3, especially if he runs vertically.

    I’m a 5’8 130lbs kid first year of football as a sophomore, I was thinking free safety or corner, what do you think?

      Corner is a great idea if you’re quick/can run. You’re a good height/build for it. Good luck!
