    Ive searched high and low on 3 match and must say this some of the best information on the internet.

    Mable rules (strong secondary rotation)
    Corner - Midpoint
    Nickel - Flat, relate to the final #1
    Strong safety - Curl, relate to the final #2
    Trips side LB- #3 up and back, take #3 through on weak flow, robot on strong flow
    Free Safety - Middle Field Safety
    Now... If its weak flow we have to handle shallows going to the weak side cause we are in man to man... If the pre snap #1 runs the shallow the flat defender takes it
    If the pre snap #2 runs the shallow the curl defender takes it
    If the pre snap #3 runs the shallow the trips side backer takes it
    Whether its 2x2 and we are playing Match we need to know what the runningback is doing or its trips and we are in Mable or Skate we need to know what the RB is doing...

    Excellent break down

  • @dennismurphy3571
    @dennismurphy3571 Год назад

    When the RB is fast to the flats the defense will play flood rules to that side of the field... In this particular play with #2 vertical in conjunction with the RB Fast to the flat the Strong Safety would use what is called a sail technique and zone turn getting depth and width splitting the flat from the top down
    Flood rules
    Corner plays midpoint
    Strong Safety plays the flat, relating to the final #1
    Strong side hook pushes to the curl, relating to the final #2
    Weak hook pushes to the hole and has #3 up and back/take #3 through
    On the backside their Match rules stay the same
    Hooks will not take the RB when he is fast to the flat...

    What if Y receiver runs left behind the defensive linemen and F runs a stick route behind the two linebackers?

  • @booyacash

    Hey, thanks for this. Just wondering what you would play against it. Playaction to freeze the def on #2 ?

    • @EliteAthletesTV
      @EliteAthletesTV  2 года назад +1

      Sail with #2 vertical forces OLB to run vertical with him and flat is clean. 3 level vertical flood and over routes are great.
      Can also play against the man techniques if you feel you have matchups.

    Hey man I’m having trouble being able to find my open receivers and trying to pay attention to the defense and how they move. Do you have any tips for trying to go down the line of your receivers or how to see the defense but still able to focus on your receivers

    • @Virgilwontargue
      @Virgilwontargue Год назад

      Hey bro so In pre snap is when you wanna take the time to analyze the Defense- the line , the line backers ( identify the mike ) , the secondary ( see what the coverage is ). While you walk up to the line look at down marker real quick the look down the line from low to high ( line, LBs, Dbs )
      Your footwork is what will help you get in rhythm with your wide outs.
      Going through your progression just takes getting used to so practice it ya know ? Like when your dropping back and you see 1 isn’t open, hitch up to your 2nd read, then if 2 isn’t open then hitch up to your 3rd read and then to your running back. Sometimes tho you’ll have to dump it your running back on the swing or your hot read because of the pressure on the pocket.
      Playing Q you need to be able to move up back left and right in the pocket because you it’s your pocket bro your the master of that mf so you gotta get comfortable FEELING the rush. that’s why pre snap helps because if you need yo alert a backer who is blitzing so your line picks him up or weather you just see a rushed on the edge that lets you know you gotta get this one out faster you have the time to. Because during the play you can’t afford to look at the blitz coming at you your eyes need to be down field so you can see the holes you need to throw into. It’s okay boss sometimes your gonna get fucking drilled but you’ll be okay and you’ll know when to stand in there and take the hit or when to avoid the rush and hitch to your 2nd read.
      Just remember
      Pre snap - take in everything, check the down and time, see the defense and decipher their coverage and blitzes, check line protection or change play if need be. Find the wide out you think will be open (typically this is the primary read on the play but not always )find the wide out that you’ll need to hitch up to invade 1 is covered. ( and take 3 deep breaths before each play it will help you calm your nerves )
      During the play - no wasted footwork. Be in Rhythm with your wide outs routes so make your drop a drop that helps you sometimes it will be quick game so a quick step or sometimes you’ll need to take a 5 step drop to give the play time to develop. Don’t hold the ball to long after 1 hitch if you haven’t thrown the. Ball you need to started moving up or out the pocket. Either pass it or call your own number and run or just throw it away but make sure you’re outside the tackle box don’t wanna get and Intentional ground flag.
      Idk how old you are but if you want to play football in college just keep working hard and practicing your mechanics like dropping back so do. 3 , 5 , 7 step and you’ll want to practice moving in the pocket like taking a drop and getting comfortable being in the pocket and learn how to establish yourself with posture and footwork.

      @@Virgilwontargue thank you man I was 15 prolly when I wrote this and I was struggling to be qb 2 at my highschool on my jv team as a freshman and as a sophomore I was dropped from the position as 2 incoming freshman’s were better now I’m 16 and going into my junior year and I am probably gonna quit because they played me at linebacker and I am not physically built for that position. My biggest problem was side arming the ball. I had way more strength then the other quarter backs but my mechanics were bad. But this makes sense I was throwing the ball abt 40 yards with it only being my first year ever playing football. I started in HS and wasn’t taught any mechanics. It sucks because I loved the position but I don’t think I will be playing football anymoee

      @@lure2424 eh life goes on little brother wether or not you keep playing just know you can do whatever you tell yourself that you can. I hated playing defense in HS so I get it bro trust me. My freshman year I got moved to wr cus I sucked at qb but everyday I worked to get better at it and by the time senior year came I was ready. I only played varsity one year lol but it was enough to get looks. If you wanna stay at Q you gotta train a lot a lot because the other Qs been playing qb since age 4 so it’s a lot of lost time you gotta make up for. If you don’t or do continue sports just remember a lot of us wish we woulda let our ego go and just played because it will take you farther. Go into coding, cyber security or computer science bro by the time your my age you’ll have way more money than all of them hahaha.

    Question so if all the routes are underneath does the lb have curl to flat, and does the bailing corners forget the vertical 3rd and just come up or buzz up? Would it be something like a banjo call?

    • @mjciavola

      A good defense isn't going to bail to empty space. If all routes are underneath, the deep zone players will come up looking for work.
