this video helped so much we went here in July the resort was amazing so we were able to watch this and prep ourselves prior. Only thing negative I had was the beach and massive amounts of seaweed. Otherwise such a great Family resort.

Question: are guests restricted to their sections' amenities only? Or can we, per se, stay in Fantasia but also go to the Punta Cana pool/buffet? I guess we're just wondering if the amenities are shared? Thanks for any input!
Thanks for watching our videos! It’s a bit complicated when it comes to access in this complex… if your staying at a “luxury” Bahia, you can visit and eat at the other “luxury” Bahias, if your staying at a “grand” you can visit the other “grands”.. and so on. The only exception is Fantasia… you can only visit and eat at Fantasia if you are staying there.

It is a bit confusing! And to be honest, not all staff is on the same page 🙈 but yes, if you stay at Fantasia you can visit the grand hotels as well. The restaurant situation is a whole other question mark lol when we were there, we stayed at Fantasia and were able to book ala cartes anywhere within the complex, but we have also heard the opposite that you can only book at your home hotel 🤷🏼♀️ basically to sum up, rules have changed in the past and will likely change again in the future based on capacity and changing Covid restrictions, so it’s hard to tell before you get there …. However, no need to fear bc there is amazing food at all of the restaurants and plenty to do on property that you don’t need to branch out much 👍🏻 if travelling with kids, Fantasia is the best option in our opinion and if travelling kid-free definitely check out Ambar! Hope that helped and happy planning!
Hey, great video, I think we’re gonna book this one! One question is about how long a walk is it from the main castle pool to the beach? Just wondering if our littles will make the trek a few times a day without complaining. Thanks! 5 min walk?
Great video. If we book in 1 resort are we allowed to use the other resorts pools/restaurants/amenities? Like if I book in Esmeralda can I use the water park in fantasia?
The rules are tricky at this resort complex. It’s best to check the website of the resort you want to go to under “all inclusive” to see which hotels you can visit. Basically, if you’re staying at a “grand” Bahia resort, you can only visit the other “grands” in the complex - and if you’re at a “luxury” hotel, you can visit them all - with the exception of Fantasia (that’s in its own category)

Looking to stay at fantasia as got 3yr old and think she would love the castle and kids aqua park. Can you use all the other bars and restaurants in the Bahia hotels next door ??

The main thing that is unpredictable is the seaweed situation on the beach in October - and also that’s the beginning of hurricane season, so you might get rainy weather 🤷🏼♀️ there aren’t many activities at this resort other than some pool games, splash pad and kids club 🤷🏼♀️ most resorts in the Caribbean are like that though.

Hey im planning on taking small kids on a vacation i was thinking of this place one thing i wanted was a grocery store or mini market was wondering if this place had you never know with small kids you might need something
Unfortunately, no you do not have access to the pools or lobby at Esmeralda - but you are able to book some ala carte restaurants at Esmeralda, Bavaro and Punta Cana.
I was there back in 2019 and the place looks just like the videos! we are going back soon and I was looking for one point in the review which didn't come up: the area around the pool was very slippery... I'm wondering if this was fixed somehow or if you had same problem while walking around the pool when it was wet... Thank you for the great and detailed review!!
Omg I noticed that too!! I slipped so many times and I was so embarrassed 🙈 looks like they didn’t fix the problem! Whatever tiles they used around the pool are clearly too slippery.. and it seems all the pool decks are the same on property 🤦🏼♀️

No, only Fantasia guests can use that resort. The other resorts are Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana, Grand Bavaro and Luxury Esmeralda. (Ambar and Aquamarine are adults-only)
@@WherewegoingNext its ok we decided after watching your video and a couple of others that we are booking fantasia think it'll be perfect for our daughter she'll be 5 when we book for next May myself and husband have been to dominican before for our honeymoon was one of the best holidays ever but the hotel we stayed at probably won't be best suited to keep an active child entertained. So I think iv found the best choice 😂 excited to book up 😂

Right now! Nov-Apr have the least likelihood of getting mountains of seaweed, and you get to escape all of this snow ❄️

From what I’ve heard Fantasia is the most expensive and you can eat and go anywhere (I think except the all adult only properties if you have kids)
I was understanding it as Fantasia guests can eat at the other Bahias. So I'm incorrect? @@WherewegoingNext

I would say it’s less than 10 mins, but you can definitely catch a trolley 👍🏻

It’s a short walk - less than 10 mins for sure! Plus there are trollies that will shuttle you around the resort 👍🏻

Yes it can get loud on the side facing the pools, but you can request a room on the opposite side of the building.

I don’t remember the exact times, but it usually closes at sundown and opens at sunrise
What month were you here? Do you think the weather is nice like this in December?
We were here in March, 2022. Yes, the weather will be very nice in December- it will be hot during the day, but cool off a bit at night 👍🏻

No, there’s no grocery store - just a small gift shop with some snacks and meds 👍🏻

Unfortunately, no you do not have access to the pools or lobby at Esmeralda - but you are able to book some ala carte restaurants at Esmeralda, Bavaro and Punta Cana.

I would say about a 15-20 minute walk, but you can catch a trolley to take you to the beach 👍🏻
