As an Irish man I'm not too familiar with the men in this video but I've watched Roy shaw Lenny McLean and many more, the one thing I honestly respect is proper old school men,I've grown up in Dublin been jailed with the best and worst but honestly have to say old school lads with manners and respect with kind hearted intensions are the men u want in ur company 👍 great stuff ben,as always best wishes regards Jay 👍
I lived in Newcastle and meet one of Harrisons and ended working with Peter one of them could you do something on them i know they were at war with the conroys thanks a lot
I wonder how they would match up with bouncers in other countries. Guys like Ken Shamrock, Tex Cobb and Mr. T were bouncers in America, Bas Rutten and Gerard Gordeau in the Netherlands, Tony Halme in Finland, Maurice Vachon and Georges St Pierre in Canada etc
Paul sykes would be a terrorist as a doorman you wouldn't have any customers...don't forget sykes made a name for himself knocking out doormen in his prime.
I remember sparring with Andre top man used to watch people he ko,d on his phone between rounds. Here's a funny story we was in the gyms studio doing a bit he took me under his wing I was new to the gym..a proper gym where a few of the chaps trained. We got interuppted by the gym owner there was a face I won't name who wanted a private chat with him in the owners office he was the mediator...anyways 10mins later Andre comes in puts the gloves on.and says these people don't scare me ..I'm like ok ....says no more... Works out this faces daughter with her cronies walks straight to front of the que drops the dad's name.. from what I'm told Andre was polite but firm..as in you have to que whoever you are. ..she mouths off trying to save face... Andre ignores it...then he we was 3days later...this face was a norty man too.. To Andre just another man.. Got to respect that..haven't seen him in 15years i.. Top man respect and god bless.to you all.
Probably the deadliest and nicest doorman I ever saw was Ernie shavers Yates Liverpool city centre Shook his hand and they were like a bears paw He was probably early late 60s early 70s then
Shavers was a top professional heavyweight. In his prime he would have destroyed any of the men in this video. Ali said Ernie Shavers had the hardest punch of anyone he ever fought. And when that list includes George Foreman and Sonny Liston that's saying something.
Great Vid. Will you do a vid about some of the Doormen in the midlands? I reckon my old man would have made the top 10 (Bold & controversial statement but i'm sure he would)
@@enquirer2.0 It was my Dad. He passed away in 2022...I discovered your channel, by chance, not long after. According to him, he was the first Doorman in England (from an Indian background) late 70s early 80s. He also took on Tony Sibson (when he was an amateur) on the cobbles. I was never too interested in his stories growing up (long story) but now I miss them. My old man was quite the character lol
@JohnRamboDaBoss ha ha ha ha 😂 😆 🤣 😄 Tony Sibson went on to become a professional boxer. He fought Hagler for the middleweight title. I mention Sibo as that is the calibre I'm talking about. I am hoping to message Enquirer directly (I don't want to dox anything on here lol). He might not be interested, he might be. I don't want to waste either of our time). If he is receptive, he will let me know. Plus, if he knows people from the ends...they can verify the information for him If you know where Tony (aka Sibo) is from...then you know the area I am talking about. There was a huge club in that area called Baileys. He started on the door there at the age of 17/18 Like.i said, if the Enquirier is interested...I will reveal more
Great another 1 to catch up n listen 👂 in to Ben. All the big names pulled out for this yin mate. Must say out them guys i recon Billy Robinson if iv spelt right definitely stands out as a fare fighting man gentleman. All the real deal. Paul Sykes and Lenny Mclane definitely top 🎩. Hope you're keeping safe fit n well. Great stuff Ben . Respect mate. Top man. Pure Quality 💯👍🤝 🫵💎😎
Great video, once again 👍 Credit to you for persevering and getting this put up! Personally, I’m intrigued to hear your picks and like you say, it’s just a bit of fun and a matter of opinion. I asked Matt Legg in his comments section once who he’d pick between Lenny and Sykes in a street fight and he picked Sykes, too. I’d go with Lenny myself, in an extremely close fight but two very tough guys, either way. Keep up the good work 👍
Yes asked me not be in for business reasons through a mutual friend. Also he said contrary to some reports n stuff he never actually worked the door. All very respectful as is the stamp of the man. Proper
I sold a tipper lorry to Roy many moons ago, I delivered it to his bungalow and the whole gaff was surrounded by Bull Mastiffs. His dog food bill must have been massive unless he fed 'em something else. Nice seamless edit mate.
I know you had several problems to get this out Ben! Persistent to provide us with amazing content as usual mate! Great stuff!!
Thankyou mate much appreciated

Mark Potter, Dave Garside, Dominic Negus and Lenny McLean are the top four on this list by far.
Micky Terrell should definitely be on the north east team
Apparently Sykes got done in by a doorman called Terry Mitchell in the late 70's.
Yes mate saw that
Andrey hasn’t aged at all. Always a winner..
Mark Potter was an absolute animal in the ring / cage / street . Top of the bunch for me . God Rest his Soul 💯❤️👊🏻🙏
SE vs NE v2.3 haha
Hope this one stays up Ben. Good edit

Ken Shamrock and Bas would be difficult for ANYONE to beat on the street also both were UFC champions

Dispite Conroy being a hard man
