Keep the heavy eye makeup. The look suits the Tape Face character nicely and makes the eye-centered expressions easier to read from the crowd's perspective. I also like the black clothes with the stripe t-shirt. The character (look, walk, and expressions) seem a goth's nod to Charlie Chaplin.
That is the point of it. One of the central themes of his act is messing with people while allowing them to have fun. He usually starts the music during of one of his bits. This is when the audience member is the most uncomfortable and unsure of what is about to happen. He is trying emulate the same feeling with the music when you watch the video.
I love your stuff !! my uncle was a clown for most of my child hood and then a magician and he is my staple for my life ! I remember he cracked an egg on my moms head for my birthday and it was so funny ..let's just say my mom wasn't to happy about it ...but it was good fun and when u act I swear u could be my uncle he had that same personality that just brings me back to my childhood and reminds me that its ok to laugh and have fun !! I hope I can go to you show one day thank you for bringing back so many good memories and feelings of happiness :) just pleas don't get board of what ur doing because that's what happens to my uncle he just lost love for it and he was amazing !! keep having fun with it :)
I'm really glad I had a moment where I surfed best and worst performances on Talent, X-Factor and so on today, it ended me here. It's really funny to see the character at the early stage and see how much have been improved. Both in makeup and movements. This really is a visual media and visual storytelling at it's highest! :D
Not sure I like Tape Face without his black eye makeup. Just gives him more expression and adds to his overall character. Of course, he’s entertaining to watch eye makeup or no.
I love to imagine that the bag he wears is actually a magical bag that has unlimited items and props hidden in it and he can just pull out whatever and how many things he wants to.

I loved all the AGT performances. 🥰 The ONLY thing I dont get was the inexplicable switch in names from "Tape Face" (svelte & original 😎👍) to "The Boy With Tape On His Face" (too wordy & has disturbing overtones of Pedophilia & BDSM 😖😒👎).
