Yet another copy of an American plane.. X-31... Based on the F-16, a version was offered to Israel called the Lavi. However Israel abandoned the Lavi project in favor of the F-16 block 50 which is far more capable.
It really looks like a good "copied" and elegant plane. As you know, I buy a lot of China made quality products but to my experience, even their best quality products fails miserably against other products from different countries of the same purpose. The outside may look very great but what is inside is the problem. Hoses burst, inferior materials, cheap bolts, poor castings, etc etc. This is nothing to do with politics but we are more looking at quality. I will bet you China will never say the aircrafts problems serviceability. I will not wonder why one or more their aircrafts will fail or crash in the next few months. But the Chinese will suppress such news if ever that happens. Its just like buying a China car against buying a Japanese and/or European car. You will really notice the difference ones you rode and for quite sometime. It will bring you to your destination for sure but to how many trips and the serviceability will be what you will contend with in the long run. Though I believe in the next 10 + years things will be different for Chinas manufacturing. Though this will depend on the culture of China. Because amongst all my Chinese friends most of them prefers "cheap" things when it is about business. But for themselves they have the tendency to buy "branded" items but only when they are on sale. These are real facts.

I'm still not sure about the j-10 but only time will tell it's delta wing configuration and front canards says that it should be very maneuverable but idk I'll need to see some combat performance

Verdaderamente NO entiendo porque, claro poniendo de presente la mentalidad anacrónica y la corrupción que vive Argentina, no se entiende repito, que países como Argentina, Colombia, México y otros suramericanos...No hayan optado por el Shendu J10 Ttanche 3, como opcion para suplir las necesidades de su ala de combate. Me parece increíble, principalmente porque es una aeronave versátil, maniobrable, capaz técnica y logisticamente, en funcionamiento y operativa en China con más de 400 ejemplares, y a un costo mucho, menor que Locked Martín F16, o un Dessault Rafale francés. Argentina lleva dos décadas casi tres, evaluando todo tipo de aeronaves, y según cuentas había escogido al Shengdu J17 Thunder, que me parece un buen avión, pero en desempeño, trayectoria y experiencia en servicio, el Shengdu J10 lo supera....increíble. En cuanto a calidad del equipo y garantizar repuestos debería cualquier país que negocie cualquier aeronave, más tratándose de aviones de combate, GARANTIZAR y EXIGIR ese requerimiento como un pilar fundamental de la negociación. Es más, en el caso de Argentina, posee la logística para examinar, y si es el caso reparar dichos aviones en suelo propio....pero les puede más la corrupción política..
