Disagree, Suggs can sing but he hasn't got the greatest range. Rock stars need to have charisma and energy to perform and Suggs is one of the very best front men there are. There are plenty of people who are great singers but would be shockingly bad on stage.
They are friends if its possible to be friends with Mozza. Suggs provided backing vocals on a couple of Morrissey singles. Mozza was also invited to be main support at Madstock at Finsbury park, but decided to start with a song with a chorus "London is Dead" and not surprisingly didnt finish his set.
Not many can cover the Smiths successfully and not many can cover Madness songs successfully. Two of the most unique English bands ever and what makes both their music brilliant!
Only the maestro himself could pull this off without ruining it and causing offence to the great Morrissey. Well done Suggsy.
Such a great cover of an awesome song.
I love this cover. Also the outro using lyrics from the obscure "Our Frank" song is brilliant !
you say brilliant, i say pretentious and very try hard lol
@@CSM100MK2Pretentious? You confuse Suggs with Morrissey.
Totally brilliant Mr ‘Suggs’ McPherson 😎
Suggs es un muy buen cantante! Y hermoso!! Hasta el día de hoy...
What a gorgeous sight ❤
Fan of the original this is every bit as good
I do like the inclusion of 'Our Frank' in the outro..
Brilliant. Top marks that man.
Expected this to be terrible but it was much better than I though!
I agree. I like it a lot. 'Suedehead' is appropriate.
Agreed.
Forever Suggs.
I would love to know Morrissey's response to this. Quite enjoyable and fun.
Amazing
Very enjoyable indeed. And to the naysayers - a pox ‘o yer throat!
Suggs is a Suedehead
great suggs
Mark Kermode on the double bass!
That’s a good spot!

Agree. Sums it up.

anyone know what show this was on?
The Danny Baker Show
Gets off to a shakey start, improves a little bit... overall unremarkable in every way, if it wasn't Suggs, this footage surely wouldn't still exist.
Better than original!! Suggs rules!!
chas is friend de morrisey
i,m sooooo sorrrryyy deb x
Suggs, Smiths era Morrissey, Weller, Bragg to name only a few from the 80's. Why do you Brits have all the greats?
It’s not called Great Britain for nothing you know.
Nothing can beat the original, but this is an amusing attempt... I suppose.
Not for me that Suggs. Love Madness and seen them in December in Manchester, but only Moz is able to do this song justice.
Disagree different slant but every bit as good
@@beldub01 enjoy your music 👍
@@tobyaughnotobi3919 Yes u too ;) after 6 years good to be still alive & kicking
