100 குமிழ் மற்றும் 50 மலை வேம்பு மரங்களை விற்று 10 லட்சம் வருமானம் ஈட்டியுள்ளார். மேலும் தொடர் வருமானத்திற்கு தென்னை, பாக்கு, வாழை கை கொடுக்கிறது, தற்போது மிளகும் சாகுபடி செய்துள்ளார்.

My own uncle is a timber trader :
His Views:
1. Teak (Naatu thekku) is the only timber which gives you good returns : Minimum 20 years after planting
2. Trees like Mahogany , Rose wood , Kumizh, Malai Vembu fetch very less money compared to Teak: If teak sells at 20000 per ton others fetch 4000 to 5000 only. That too Mahogany and Rose wood can be grown for your own timber use. No much sale chances for other trees.
3. Why Isha doesnt promote Poovarasu Maram (Thespesia Populnea) much ???
Its our native tree and has equivalent value like tree
4. I bought 10 trees in 2014 from Isha (5 Mahogany+5 Rosewood)
Mahogany has a tremendous growth.
It gives great shade to my house and gives shelter to lots of birds.
In that way am fully satisfied. But farmers please dont plant if you expect a good return from trees
5. Teak , Vengai are good timber value trees as per Timber traders.
