Wait a minute I didn’t know it was him on function that is my jam. 2007 me, was at function and trying to function. This man is very intelligent and entrepreneurial because that coffee idea is phenomenal.
I know a lot of the people that have been guests on the show thus far are either friends or associates or they’ve worked together in some capacity in the past BUT KEEP IN MIND the audience might not know them. I know there’s a bit more structure in building the story now. However, despite who the person is they should tell their story & who they worked with to build interest & credibility with the viewers. We, the people, make podcasts TOP PODCASTS when our input is considered.
At the end of the day,no matter what type of music you do ,no matter how reflectful your music is to you we all can still chalk it up to art and entertainment,so you have the freedom to say and make music the way you want
I always say, "When you leave the hood, it's like pressing pause on a remote to life.. you can leave for 5-10-15-20 plus years.. when you come back it's like pressing play.." it's the same shyt going on, same mental state etc due to the environment creating this repetitious cycle of life. The mentality is normalized, so what ever actions that is taking place is not views abnormal. I forget what was going on with a cousin of mine.. but the situation was fucked up, but he was like everybody do this and I said just cause everybody doing this don't mean that it's right.. you have to have your own mind in the hood to even have a chance of making it out. That's why traveling is one of the most important pieces of educational value you can give toa child or a teen growing up. So they will know life is bigger than thier current environment and circumstances.
Also can relate to gifts when you wake up - ability to breathe - the acknowledgement that I can take a first breath... that blew my mind... for so long I was so damn privy not even acknowledging that.... like people with smokers lung may never be able to breathe normal again.... Ie I can breathe, like in and out sort of thing... Eyesight is another one... hearing... even touching or feeling things. Some people walk without a leg or an arm. They say count your blessings, but the wording to that phrase goes to a new level when you experience it. Seeing is believing is really more, experiencing is believing... I can touch things, I can type, some people can't even type. Everyday a good day.
Dead ass because, this, Jamie’s session, Brooke’s and Eric along side of course Eric’s stands out and is really important. I wanted to get signed to Eric’s label soooo bad at one point to the point that I literally spammed and eventually got muted, (I think) the music was definitely quality, but to have a following behind you to. Ack you up in the sense sense is different. Problem came here and literally talked about the full struggle from different aspects ; faking the image to an extent x having the promotion behind you as well, and several other things. As a fan, I wasn’t expecting Problem to be up next but I definitely know and appreciate the fact that he was able to deep dive into subjects that a lot of us has dealt with even being the “Popular” guy who hasn’t fully made it because of the extras that come along with being successful. Great interviews
