FAV- VO- RITE POET!!! WE would love to hear Nikki's poem- record, "Like a Ripple on a pond" i.e. " my man' s been gone longer than you is old"........ one of her poems "from back in the day"! LANGSTON HUGHES is my next favorite! Maya who came up in Arkansas is one of my fav- vo- rite writers' because I , too know "why the caged bird sings" Why the hell he or she sings/ sangs...yeah, I' m good! And Ms. Nikki would tell you that's fine, but it doesn't mean it's not true. That's her story, her tell. The way she felt, and dealt with it. She just shared it with us. ❤
