Show all purchases may not be an option. In most cases buying a song to have in your library works. Not guaranteed though.
After more recent updates. Menu options are different, so this may or may not work for some. Depending on your vehicle, some still have success and others don’t.
If you cannot find a fix, the next best option is an aux cable and a 3.5mm adapter.

Just in case this does not work for anyone else, because it did not work for me. I got so hopeful after reading all of the good comments in this video. Unfortunately it did not work for me, anyone who has a Honda Civic, press and hold the power button to reset it and then select yes that you want to reset. It worked for me. Thank you so much for this video though, it has helped so many people!

Genius! You solved a huge problem. I have a kickin stereo in my VW Beetle and I could hook up my phone via Bluetooth or usb and it played off my RUclips or Spotify.I have traded my Galaxy S22 for an I iPhone 14 and got into my car and realized I didn’t think that through too well and that now my expensive stereo is now worthless. I almost cried, that’s a lot of money I do got to throw around like that. You solved my problem man. So thank you very very much. The urge to cry is gone and now I’m smiling like I usually do when watching you😅😊🎉❤

Yea it’s a pain, because stuff like that is updated often. So support tends to be hard to find. Even now since we’re a few iOS updates newer this only works with certain vehicles now.

YES! YES! YES! Seriously, you weren’t kidding. Someone out there needed this and that someone is ME. I consider myself pretty tech savvy and, more and more lately, my Amazon prime music or podcasts would be “playing” (but not really). This solved that problem. Thank you!!
Thanks for this! I was cleaning up storage on my phone and deleted my entire music library, then my phone stopped syncing with my car, so I went in to Apple Music downloaded one song, then I uninstalled my phone from my car and reinstalled, now it’s working again!!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I have been having this problem forever. Somehow my Apple iTunes wiped all my songs from back in the day. I had to purchase a song to have something in there to play, but now it works. Thanks for the video!

i recently switched to spotify and the other day i deleted my last apple music song. i would have never connected the two, that that was why music wasn’t playing on my car anymore. thank you!!!!

Yea it’s varies from vehicle to vehicle. Some you can plug up and it just works. Other are a bit more complicated.

Thx man been on this problem on volvo for a couple of days. The biggest problem on the new phone after watchin this vid was that the new ios dosent even have a music player. So had to download the apple music app to have the setting option in settings. Thx so much !!!!

What is show all purchases isn’t there?
You have to be subbed to Apple Music now to make it work.
It may work with pandora. Try downloading it and making a free account.

We’ll give it a try. My wife has a 2012 Honda Fit and an iPhone XR. She get that “iPod No Song code and can’t play anything from her phone using the built-in USB port cable connected to the stereo. Thanks for your help man!
for the 2012 srx plug your phone into the usb then find the bluetooth setup and set it up and then use the auz

If you have a new iPhone or a new account then you can go onto iTunes and download your favorite or cheapest song then it just works after that.

Man I’ve been trying to to figure this out for months ever since I uninstalled Apple music lol Kept blaming it on an update I can confirm this fixed it for my wife’s Nissan and my Ram
My issue with Apple Car Play is that it only shows my "Recently Downloaded" folder. It will not show my entire Library. I have to go to the Library in my phone and select the music I want. I can't get there from my screen in my 2020 RAM truck. I just switched from the iPhone 10 to the 13 Pro Max and there is no change in the music issue. So that being said, it's not the phone as the dealership will tell you.
I don't have carplay, but my girlfriend does. I'll connect to her car later and take a look!

I also figured this out when my husband got the new iphone 12, that it only will connect with Apple Music either streaming or with a song added to the library first as the base, then you can switch to Pandora or youtube. Just another frustrating thing about Apple trying to control what you do with your phone. How many people out there are only playing Apple Music now or bought a subscription to Apple Music to get something as simple as a bluetooth connection working again!!?? Definitely an intentional tech savy move by APPLE, taking advantage of people that can't figure out a workaround and in 2022, at their price point, why are we figuring out workarounds for something as sinple as music! That's why I stick with Samsung Galaxy, technology at your fingertips without the control.
