Although the music and voice is nice, when we look for God to "speak to us" via our hearts, that's a dangerous thing. Our hearts are marred by sin, even if we are Christians. The place where we want God to speak to us is in His Word. It is there that He speaks. And when we feel that God "spoke" to me, again, we have to be careful because we are then claiming that God has given us new, special revelation. Everything has to be weighed by what the Bible already has declared.
I understand where you're coming from, but then how did the early church prescribe being "led of the Spirit" as Romans 8 describes. At that time the common man dogs not have access to the old testament and the new testament was not yet penned. God wants a personal relationship with his people... Even to the point that in Ezekiel He declares that he will wrote his laws on our HEARTS. Be blessed
