On wave one, I think he cancels the transfer of the reviver seed. In wave 20, Electivire uses the reviver seed (14:40). This tripped me up in my first run as well.
QUICK EDIT: the reviver seed DOES NOT get transferred in the beginning to elekid. it gets used on level 20

So if I didn’t have a legendary egg that hatches at floor 12 does that throw off the RNG if the run?

Why did you waste the masterball in Clawitzer??? I wanted to catch Latios... Do I need to use it in Clawitzer as well or I can use it for Latios???

I don't have an Electabuzz but I do have an Elekid,would evolving it in DR unlock it for me?
Unfortunately no, you have to catch it to unlock it
