    Thank you for the detailed video! I didn't know what to write in the section "Which organization or which person are you going to visit?". Before I only used normal visa, so I was a little bit confused. Your video helped me. Now I am waiting for my e-visa!

    Thanks a lot for this detailed video, really helpful as I am going to apply for an E-Visa next month! This video actually helped me avoid a huge mistake, as I had planned to enter by bus from Estonia, visit St Petersburg etc and then fly to Murmansk before crossing the Norwegian - Russian border by bus to get home.
    Before watching this I didn't notice that it's not possible to cross the Nor-Russ border with an E-Visa, I just saw smth "Murmansk" and figured it was the land border, not noticing that it was Murmansk airport only. Would have been a disaster if I showed up there with my E-Visa haha.

      Indeed it would've been a disaster, especially on the last day of the e-visa ... I really hope they'll add some more land border crossings in the future like this one with Norway, I wouldn't mind to travel all the way up there myself !🤩 Glad the video has been helpful, enjoy your trip !

    Hello . Thanks for the vidoe . my parents both have passed away should I answer yes to the do you have a father/mother question ?

      Hello, I'd say yes to that question, even if they've both passed away, you had parents. I think it's more like either you have/had parents or you were born anonymously if you know what I mean

    Is it better to get a tourist visa or this e visa? I’m a dual British/Irish citizen but I am thinking it’s probably better to just get the full visa just to make it easier. I was planning on using my visa to get the trans Siberian to Beijing.

    • @TravelRussia.101
      @TravelRussia.101  2 месяца назад

      If I were you I would get a tourist visa for longer than 2 weeks. Firstly because it's a long way and if you don't want to feel like you only spend your time inside the train you need to make a few stops, but also just in case something goes wrong during your trip and you overstay even for a day on your visa you will get in huge troubles with the russian authorities.

      @jackjoyce1744 2 месяца назад

      @@TravelRussia.101 yeah that’s my thought too. The evisa only makes sense if you’re travelling to western Russia. I am hopefully going on a road trip soon from Kaliningrad to Antalya via Georgia. I’m hoping to fly to Berlin or Gdańsk and get a bus to Kaliningrad where I meet my friends. Then we are going to get the ferry to St. Petersburg which is going to take roughly 2 days. Then spend 5 days driving down through Russia to Georgia. I just need the evisa for that trip.

    I had trouble at the second page of the passport detail section. The system kept picking up 0 in the passport number and not allowing it to go through, even though i tried both 0 and O. The visa system just did not allow me to proceed next. Anyone can help with this?

      Oh that sucks ... so many people seem to have some sort of troubles while filling up this form. Did you try to save the draft and come back to it a few hours later? Maybe they're having troubles in their system (again) and are fixing it ... 🤷🏻‍♀️

      Hi, sometimes it may take a little longer than 4 days obviously, especially now this e-visa starts to get popular, I've heard a lot of people are applying for the summer so maybe the system is a bit overwhelmed. Did you check directly the status of your application on the Kdmid website ? Or even your spams, normally they should notify you by email but never know.

    Hey, thanks for the video.
    Did you got your visa?
    I fill in the form completely but I have some issues with the payment.
    First I tried to pay over this Arabic way, but they canceled always the payment.
    The second tried goes over the Chinese site, but in my case they don’t accept Mastercard.
    And I have some other question about the insurance.
    Do you need to show them when you enter to Russia?

    • @TravelRussia.101
      @TravelRussia.101  10 месяцев назад

      Hello, thanks for watching !
      So I didn't go through the payment because I'm planning to apply for my e-visa in a few weeks (and I wouldn't be able to get another evisa so soon if I proceeded with that one).
      Their payment system is so weird. Isn't your bank actually prohibited the payment, though ?
      They might think it unusual, maybe you should call them, never know.
      About the insurance, if on your evisa receipt (the notification you will print out to show at the border) it says "no insurance", then they might ask for one or litteraly make you buy a crappy useless insurance at the border. Every foreigner needs a travel insurance while in Russia (that's fact), so I personally wouldn't try to go without one.
      When you enter Russia with a regular tourist or business visa (I did multiple times with both), they don't ask for the insurance certificate at the border because you must have one when submitting the visa application anyway.
      I hope that helps, good luck !

      @@TravelRussia.101 hey.
      So I visited Russia usually with a normal visa from the embassy.
      This evisa stuff is new for me but I wanna try it for my next trip.
      What do you mean with you can’t apply again ?
      About insurance I’m not sure if you can buy some at the border.
      I know that you can buy some if you wanna enter by car. But then only for your car.
      I wanna try it later again with this payment stuff.

    • @TravelRussia.101
      @TravelRussia.101  10 месяцев назад +1

      @xXOneEight5evenXx same for me, I always ask normal visas because I found the previous evisa way too short.
      I pretty sure (need to read the requirements again), but we get an evisa, go to russia for 16 days and apply for another evisa right away, I guess that'd be too easy. So I want to go, but I have no date set yet, that's why I didn't make the payment on that video.
      And about the insurance, even if we can get one at the border, it won't be free and probably won't be good I think 😅
      Do let me know when you manage to make the payment for the e-visa 👌

      @xXOneEight5evenXx Hello again, that sucks!
      I have a (may be dumb) suggestion : is your card from an online bank like Revolut ? Any chance the "online transactions" aren't enabled? That might block the payment 🤷🏻‍♀️
      I saw they've added chinese language to the website so they are still making changes to it at the moment.
      Another suggestion : when you go to your personal account's dashboard, just above the "log out" there's a "technical support", have you tried contacting them through that?
