Wow! You have a lot of grow bags! I used to do the same around 100 5 gallon buckets. Then we transitioned into raised beds. Your soil looks great! I am so excited to see your garden grow! Thanks for sharing your tips.

Thanks! I like the grow bags. Other than some fruit, hydrangea, and some flowers, most everything is in grow bags and a few herb pots. I get more control w/ soil fertility, and more control over keeping the soils hydrated.

Great content my friend. I do a similar mix with the addition of perlite and vermiculite.

I actually try to, as well. I don't always have it. But when I do, I try to add some in. You can see some in, from last year's soil I add. Next time I am at Conwell's, I need to get some.

Thanks for the helpful video! I think my challenge with air pots is that the nitrogen washes away because it is water soluble. Have you ever tried just adding more nitrogen throughout the season instead of more balanced fertilizer?

Actually, I do ADD more, depending on the type of plant growing. My BALANCED fertilizer is sort of a base starting point. If I am growing something that wants MORE nitrogen (Tomato, Pepper, Squash, for starting out), I add ESPOMA Blood Meal (NPK or 12-0-0) if it wants more Phosphorous, (Garlic, for instance) I use ESPOMA BONE MEAL (4-12-0). Depends totally on what the plant I am growing needs. BUT the even is best for a starting point.
