Very ncie tool for Cubase. However, these days I use Dorico more than Cubase. Yes, Cubase xmaps can be imported into Dorico, but this does not solve the issue how to use then in Dorico's Write mode. The right hand column in write mode lists all the short names one to use in in the score when writing. These must all be created for the imported xmap. Then there is the issue of Dorico's built-in articulations which Dorico will use instead of the those in your sample library.
you are right, doing this for Dorico with full compatibility would require still some work, on the other side I am also starting to move more into Dorico than Cubase, so I might think about doing it :)
@@MarcoDiStefano79 For over 2 years I've been searching for where the Playback Techniques are stored within Dorico with hex editors and other tools and without success--so good luck!
I have moved more to Dorico as well. I just downloaded the new Note Performer Playback Engine from Note Performer and it is amazing and stupid simple to setup. The only problem is waiting for all the companies to catch up with their translator in NPPE. So far im using BBSCO and Opus and it's flawless.
@@MarcoDiStefano79 Great work Marco in creating XMap. As shubus described, importing Cubase expression maps into Dorico is not ideal for reasons you are certainly aware of. It would be really great to see you updating XMap that can also generate Dorico native expression maps. Keep up the great work! Best, MaxT
@@shubus Have you tried asking the developers? They're usually pretty responsive. If they know why you want the information, they may just give it to you!
Hi! Due to some Mac incompatibility issues I have marketed it as for windows, but some Mac users were able to us it, others not. And I cannot give assurance nor support on Mac side

Hello Marco, I purchased xmap yesterday (Cubase pro 13, win 10, latest java sdk) and followed your walkthrough with BBC but it does not work. It generates a „null“ folder, inside there are the 3 expressions maps but they are empty, even the 2 from you. Any idea what is wrong ? Thank you.
Thank you Marco, I just purchased XMap
Hope it helps you!
